“very nice hotel and room, good overall experience”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 November 2010

being a frequent business traveller, this hotel is welcomed, in its greenery and food so easily available in a resort style ambience right next door. there is an affordable deli for lunch/bfast, gelati, a great seafood restaurant, good breakfast with good service. having stayed at another hotel in rome right in the tourist center, the service and breakfast here is definately better. The room is fantastic, big and there is a sofa with coffee table (so maybe it's a suite), the bathroom is large with a strong rain shower. there is some noise is the morning, namely the road facing the hotel with sirens going off at least 3-4 times in the only morning that we stayed there. Overall, this hotel has enough charm to overcome this minus. considering that we have a balcony with a garden view (a fruiting orange tree), overlooking the restaurants' cute little modern chimneys with the pine trees so common on the roads to rome. It's much better than facing a brick wall/apartment in the centre of rome.

“Excellent service, peaceful atmosphere, clear rooms.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 October 2010

The service was excellent. The staff was very polite, trying to satisfy every need of the clients. We are sure that such staff has not to be afraid of unemployment and crisis. The breakfast was rich. Most interestingly the hotel was very clear and peaceful. Unfortunately we could stay there for two nights only. We shall definitely prefere to stay there, next time that we shall visit ROME, despite the unfavorable location. (The EUR area is outside the Historical center).

“Sea-resort-style hotel in the metropoly...”

First of all, don't believe the pictures on the hotel's website. They bring images of luxury resort whereas it's just an ordinary hotel. Good enough for business travelers (Commercial Park nearby) but wouldn't stay they on a private trip. Rooms are ok, steam bath is a plus. But the noise from the street underneath makes a calm night with an open window impossible.
Breakfast is rather modest, thumbs up for a choice of pastry and possibility of getting good coffee from the bar (the one on the buffet table is vile) but apart from that - not much more to eat.
Staff speaks hardly any English and is not much welcoming.
Quite a distance from the city centre.

“Why close parts of this 'resort' during the busiest time of the year for tourists??”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 August 2010

Right next to a very busy road which is always bustling with traffic so lots of noise sadly. The rooms are exactly what you expect and are good enough to get your head down (as that is what they are for). I asked for a double (king size) bed in my room and upon arrival we found that two single beds had been pushed together instead.
The fact that this is advertised as a resort made me want to book it as it sounded fantastic to be able to do everything on site but sadly they closed the restaurant (which then means a very long walk to find somewhere to eat), the shops too were closed and the bar only opened until 1900 hours which is very poor indeed.
My tip basically is if you want to go here DO NOT book August as you will be dissapointed.
If you do not have a car then hire one as it is a great distance from almost everything, but with a car and sat nav you will easily find places like the Vatican Museum etc and these are well worth the visit.
The resort may well live up to it's 4 star standard throughout the year but during my stay here it would have been lucky to have achieved 1 star. The staff did not seem bothered about things been closed and all they suggested was to get a taxi to take us to various places which would have resulted in a huge cost as taxis are very expensive in Italy.

“a big jump in the sixties”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 July 2010

as i stated, when entering this hotel one should be prepared to walk into a bourgeois setting from the sixties lost in the twenty first century.to be more "retro" than this hotel is really difficult. phones,tv , electricity come and go as they wish.room service is excellent but you pay the high prices of corsetti as the famous restaurant is the provider. service is good if you can stand people serving you in a very stern and bad mood.you do feel that they are too good to serve you and when we dared express our disatisfaction they looked at us as if "mars attacks"......last but not least check your hotel bill as to the reception desk "il computer" is their only god and reference! we had to recalculate our bill and they would not trust us that there was a mistake in the bill even after rechecking several times.overall is good if you can stand that mentality and all the disadvantages that come with it !
