“Hidden Gem in the Eternity Rome”

Pick this hotel for our new year trip from the tripadvisor reviews. We went to Rome with a rental car so we want a hotel with free and secure parking and not too far away from the city center.

Hotel Farnese meets our requirements perfectly. In the winter, the hotel price is quite reasonable compared with the peak tourist season. We had a decent and spacious room with a big tube. Somebody mention the noise but it's quite OK for us. Our room is facing the main road and the noise isnot that much during the night. We sleep quite well.

The most satisfying thing is the hotel's location and free parking service. We can park the car for free inside the hotel's yard which is secure. The hotel is 15 minutes walk to the Vatican and just beside the river, very close to the Spain Plaza. With its ideal location, we travel in Rome all by foot.

Another plus is the breakfast on the top floor of the hotel. There are a lot of choice for the breakfast. You can enjoy the view to the Vatican during the breakfast. And also, when checking out, the hotel accept China Union Pay credit card. After checking out, we found that hotel has already prepared our car out of the yard and get it ready beside the entrance.

There are too many plus points of Hotel Farnese, love this hotel. If coming back to Rome, it will be my first choice.

Room Tip: Choose a room with tube

“excellent hotel, wondrful staff, three stops away from Spanish Steps”

My stay at Farnese was one of my favorite hotel experiences EVER, and I would hands-down recommend it to anyone coming to Rome. The prices are a fantastic deal, considering the location, the decor, the quality of the service, and the included breakfast. Hotel Farnese is a beautifully decorated hotel with lots of small details that add a special touch to your Rome trip. The staff are all exceptionally kind and pleasant and help make your experience as personally tailored as possible. All in all, it is clear that the hotel has some great management and knows how to stand out. One recommendation for the staff - consider recommending better tour options to your clients. Going with the watered down Green Tours reflects badly on the type of quality service you are trying to provide. There are plenty of better quality tours available to your customers within Rome. Consider establishing relationships with some of these smaller tour companies.

Lovely decor, beautiful rooms and

The morning breakfast room is a beautiful beautiful enclosed roof-top terrrace with panaromic view add up with great choice of food & fresh juice.

Exceptional homely service by Alessandra & Gabrielle; willing to spend time offering advice on giving directions, making booking for tours, suggestion on choice of restaurant.

It is one of the best hotel during our honeymoon trip in Oct/Nov 2011.

We'll definitely go back.

“Great hideaway!”

Overall: Loved this small botique hotel. Lovely decor, plentiful breakfast, great staff. Would definitely return.

Location:
VERY GOOD - Literally 1/2 a block from the Lepanto subway stop. Hotel is situated in a neighborhood, and we were out until 10pm and felt safe. A little far to walk to the Spanish Steps or the Colessium, but both are easily accessible by the subway.

Room:
We had a basement room and were surprised at how nice the decor was. The ceilings were painted, there was an alcove to store luggage, and the bathroom was not cramped (although typical European shower stall). Very nicely decorated and painted - we felt the most italian feeling of the 4 hotels we stayed in.

Breakfast:
The freshly squeezed orange juice was literally the best I've ever had - truly delicious, I had several glasses each morning. Breakfast is served on the rooftop and offers cereal, crossaints, scrambled eggs, yogurt, breakfast pies / tarts, etc.

Service:
The staff was amazing - always happy to answer questions and provide advice. We flew out of Rome and didn't want to deal with public transportation -they booked a private car for us which we thought was very reasonable at $50 Euros considering FCO was probably 40 minutes away.

Highly recommend this hotel without reservation - you receive personal service, great breakfast, and a nicely appointed room in a botique hotel / oasis in the city.

The rooms were beautiful, bathrooms were very large, everything was spotless. The staff was also very helpful (Alessandra & Gabriella especially), willing to spend time offering advice, ordering cabs when needed, making reservations at restaurants. I'd definitely go back.

Room Tip: Ask which rooms might be larger; we were in two and one was larger than the other.
