“Comfortable and near the centre”

We stayed here for 2 nights in February 2011, it is basic but comfortable and in great location near to everywhere you want to see.

Once arriving at the airport, it was really easy and cheap to get a train to the centre
It did take us ages to find this hotel by foot, but was due to us arriving in the dead of the night.

The breakfast was good and full of choice, the hotel was clean, and quiet when we stayed.
The weather was gorgeous which made the stay even better.

I would recommend staying here is you want to visit everything Rome has to offer with a comfortable, great location hotel.

“Great all around!”

We stayed 6 nights and had a wonderful time....everything (except the Vatican) within easy walking distance. The front desk was very helpful with all my many questions. Our room was large with 2 windows and the entire hotel very clean. The lovely ladies at breakfast always had big smiles for us as they made our coffee! Would definately stay here again.

Room Tip: we had a corner room

“Placement, placement”

We stayed 3 nights at the Arenula - and had a nice stay. The location is just fantastic with very short distances to Campe de Fiori, Pantheon, Piazza Navona and Piazza Venezia.

Morning breakfast is a bit of a hustle - but taken into consideration the number of romms - the system with prebooking is better than having 50 persons stamnding and waiting for their turn. It is funtioning - almost all the time - but remember - this is Italy - and you are staying at an Italian 2 star hotel - not the Marriotts and Hiltons of this world.

Some reviews (older) state that the front desk is unhelpful - but we had no experience of this. Rooms are nothing special - OK for class and price.

“Best at the Price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 October 2011

The Arnula is centrally located in Rome's most interesting neighborhood - two black from the Tiber, five blocks from the Pantheon, six from the Piazza Navona - and so extremely convenient. It is also well run, clean, friendly, and helpful. The breakfast is excellent. Because it lacks an elevator, it cannot charge high prices. If you don't mind stairs, this is the place.

Room Tip: Lower floor, fewer stairs.

“Excellent location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 May 2011

The Arenula Hotel is just minutes from Campo de' Fiore, The Pantheon and Piazza Navona. With convenient bus service to the train station and other parts of the city, it is my choice location.

This is definitely a budget hotel with an entrance up a flight of stairs in an older building and larger rooms up another flight or two. This was my second stay and I prefer a room on the same floor as the lobby, although it is very small and has a tiny en suite bathroom with just a basic shower, sink and toilet.

The staff are polite and some are extremely helpful and knowledgeable, especially Rosanna.

A full breakfast is included and there's access to BBC World news on the room TV.

Room Tip: Book directly through the hotel website.
