After a mistake in the reservation in a nearby hotel, we arrived there by chance at 1 am, and were lucky enough to find that one room was still available. Under such circumstances, we had no great expectations, but soon found that the place was really good. Good taste, clean, competent and friendly staff... Do not miss the little outside yard, which is very tempting -even though there is so much to do in Rome, and so many nice places to seat...

This hotel is on a lovely street just steps from St. Peter's Square and about an 8 minute walk to the Octaviano metro stop. The hotel staff was wonderful in helping me plan my days, recommending good restaurants, and arranging airport transport. My room was large and very clean and breakfast was delightful. I highly recommend the hotel. The only catch was I had to keep up with some work and the internet is a bit intermittent -- but that's the case just about all over the country.

We stayed at Hotel Sant' Anna for two nights at the recommendation of two different friends. We wanted to be within walking distance of the Vatican. This hotel is almost in the Pope's apartment! It is only a block from the Vatican.

The hotel, while small, is clean and neat. The rooms are nicely decorated and quaint. Staff is pleasant and courteous. Room rates are reasonable for Rome.

It is on a street with numerous restaurants having tables set outside right on the street. For a nice reasonably priced dinner, consider the Tre Pupazzi, about three blocks down at Borgo Pio 183.

We loved everything about this hotel. Its location is perfect... steps from the Vatican and St. Peter's, on a quiet pedestrian street in an upscale neighborhood with plenty of shops and restaurants. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated. The walls of our room on the first floor were painted with scenes of Roman gardens, we had a marble bath and private courtyard with its own frescoes. The staff was very friendly and helpful. A delicious breakfast was included in the room rate. We would go back to Rome just to stay at this delightful hotel again.
