This boutique hotel is about 20 meters from the Piazza Navona (a spectular location). Because the hotel only has a few rooms, our arrival required that we call a partner hotel to have someone come and let us into our room (he arrived about 20 minutes from our call, and we arrived midday so it was not a problem). The decor is quite nice inside. The suite is actually a loft on the 2nd floor, but we had a nice view of the street. The ceilings have centuries-old (but well maintained) mouldings (lovely), the bed was comfortable, the place was quite clean. It wasn't too noisy for us, but on a Friday night in the summer, if you are sensitive to the sounds of the night life, you might find it noisy. A spiral staircase leads from the living room up to the loft bedroom. Some rooms have a TV on the ground floor and others in the loft (ours was in the loft). Continental breakfast served in room was fine (most Roman breakfast service is light, so don't let this be determinative in your choice of hotel). The staff are cordial and speak a little English, but no concierge sort of assistance. We paid 99 euros a night and thought we got a good deal. It felt like we were staying in an apartment and were living like Romans. If a full-service, cater-to-your-every-whim hotel is what you seek, this is not for you. But we enjoyed it thoroughly in late January 2002 (before tourist season), and would definitely stay there again.
