Hotel Arcangelo has been a favorite of mine since 1991 when my husband and I first found it and stayed on our honeymoon. We have returned there each time we are in Rome and we have brought friends and family with us. The service has always been of the highest quality and we enjoy the breakfast and the solarium. The solarium is our second favorite amenity after the breakfast; you can enjoy the view, have a glass of wine or a bite of bread and cheese and relax before going out for an evening or going to bed. We recommend the Arcangelo to everyone going to Rome!

We spent 7 nights at Hotel Arcangelo, absolutely loved the location, easy walking distance to the Vatican, and many other sights. The continental breakfast was more than adequate to get your day going. We liked the meat tray and fresh pastries every morning, however they could have do better with the coffee. The staff and the main desk personnel were very pleasant and helpful with any question we may have had. Really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed at the Hotel Arcangelo for four nights in July. The hotel was on a quiet street with a nice roof top garden. It was very close to the Vatican City (5 minute walk).
Pros:
- quiet rooms
- good breakfast (pastries, eggs, bread, cereal, juice, coffee, yoghurt, etc.)
- friendly staff
- close to lots of shops and restaurants
- clean

Cons:
- longer walk to major attractions like the Colosseum and Trevi Fountain (This didn't bother us as it only took about 30 minutes to walk it and there were many amazing things to see along the way)
- small bathroom with extremely small shower (even by European standards)
- bed was a bit small

Saint Peter's was our favourite part of Rome, so this was a great hotel for us. It allowed us to get to the Vatican early before the 2 to 3 hour lines started to form.

We stayed at Hotel Arcangelo for five nights - it was our base for exploring Rome. It turned out to be an ideal choice in terms of location - it is in a very nice and quiet neighborhood, yet at a walking distance from the major sights. Since we arrived by car, parking was our major concern and one of the reasons for booking this hotel - and indeed - parking was private and free, which is a jackpot in Rome.
Double room was a bit small, but very clean and well equipped, staff friendly and helpful, buffet breakfast satisfactory.
One of the best things this hotel offers is a very nice roof terrace, with a nice view of Rome roofs and Vatican.
