“A Quiet Location in Rome!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 November 2011

The hotel is located in a quiet part of Rome not far from Vatican City. It has a roof terrace with a great view of the dome of St Peters. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was great. Found the desk staff not the most helful I have come across which is a shame but this would not stop me staying here again.
A coach runs from termianl 3 at Flumicino Airport to the Piazza Cavour which is five minutes walk to the hotel, it costs 8 euro per person and includes luggage. The coach web site is www.sitbusshuttle.it
If you want a good restaurant near the hotel then turn right out of the hotel front entrance and walk about four blocks on Via Ennio Quirino Visconti to the Al Palazzaccio Restaurant.

“Quiet comfort near Vatican City”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 August 2011

We arrived early on Tuesday and were able to store our luggage until check in. A can was called and promptly arrived to take us to St Peters. The Concierge was delightful and charming, the dining room was excellent as was the breakfast each day (order the cappucino its delicious!). Our room was a little small but, if you need a clean, quiet, comfortable place to sleep and set out to see the city from its well worth it. The roof patio was lovely and we ended several nights sitting upstairs looking out at the city and the view of the Vatican which was as advertised quite nice. It is a hike to the nearest Metro stop, but a short walk to great food and good shopping. All in all a very worthwhile hotel that we would return to any time!

We stayed at the Hotel Arcangelo for three days. It was a fifteen minute walk to the Vatican. Five minutes to restaurants. They were helpful in planning excursions as well as Taxis. Very nicely decorated rooms.

“Very nice hotel for a good price.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 July 2011

This property is very close to the Vatican and within easy walking distance of the subway. They offer a great breakfast with pastries, yogourt, fruit, deli meat, cheese, boiled egg, etc. There is also a very nice rooftop patio for relaxing after a long day of walking. The service was very good.

“Nice hotel in a quiet and convenient neighborhood”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 June 2011

After the chaos of arriving in Rome, arriving at this hotel was refreshing. We found the location to be fairly convenient. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk (over flat terrain) from the Lepanto Metro station, and it is also about a 10 minute walk from Vatican and the Castello St. Angelo. The street that the hotel is on is very quiet. Two blocks to the north there is a fair amount of shopping on Via Cola di Reinzo.

We found the overall appearance of the hotel to be very attractive. Our double room was of a moderate size for an Italian hotel, with high ceilings and brightly colored fabric covering the walls. The bed was comfortable and the room was air conditioned. The bathroom was large and covered in marble tiles. The breakfast was decent, with cornetti, eggs, fruit, cereal, etc and one could obtain a cappuccino upon request. There is a nice rooftop terrace for the guests to enjoy. My only complaint was that I was not able to successfully connect to the free wireless internet.

Overall we were quite happy at the Hotel Arcangelo and would definitely consider staying there again.
