I appreciated this budget hotel. It didn’t really come across as a place with high expectations especially since it was surrounded by multiple Best Western hotels, so I was pleasantly surprised for the 3 nights we stayed here. They seem to cater to a lot of different budgets, and after looking at the other pictures there's a lot of variety amongst the rooms. We were put into a room for 3 people – a king size bed (2 twins together), and a single twin bed. The room was very clean, comfortable and spacious. It came with a mini-fridge and a safe built into the wall. WiFi was extra, but it was very reasonable. It was a little odd that the reception was located on the top floor, but it was open 24 hours, and they had an additional person sitting by the entrance. Our rate included breakfast, which had a decent variety of hot and cold food. The location was about a 10-minute walk to Termini Station, and a 4-minute walk to the Castro Pretorio Metro stop. There were plenty of food options in the neighborhood, and a grocery store about 4-5 blocks away. The only negative was that the bar across the street could get a little loud, especially since we were on the first floor, but as long as the window was closed it wasn’t too bad. I would probably stay here again.

I stayed at this hotel during the christmas and I had a wonderful experience.On my arrival the staff were very welcoming and vey quick,and happy in answering my questions.My room was very clean and cofortable and in the morning I had the breakfast wich was very rich and satisfying,it gave me a good start to the day.I would definetly recommend this hotel to my friends as the time I spent here was excellent!

The hotel is of walking distance from the Termini station however, i would not say that it is very near (maybe a 10-15min walk) . The reception is of a very small area. However, we were glad to see our room. It was just the room we need to recuperate from our food poisoning the previous day.The room is spacious and clean.By the Italian standard, the hotel would be considered cheap, however, it should be deemed reasonable by Asian travellers like me. Do not expect facilities like the 5 star hotels. The hotel does not have flat screen tv nor free wifi. The bathroom is not with faults but i would say it is due to old age. (by the italian standard, i think hotel des artistes is doing very well) We are also glad to find that the hotel has an antique looking lift which is still working. It is rather interesting for me since this was the first time i got to use this type of lift. Breakfast which was included in the hotel price was very worth our money. Considering the amount we paid for the breakfast (if i remember correctly , it should be 1.50Euros-3Euros) I would say the breakfast was terrific. again do not expect international buffet when u are paying peanuts for the breakfast.

Only a short walk with bags from Terravision airport bus at Termini, one block to Castro Pretorio Metro without crossing any roads. Warm welcome from friendly staff, good size room by Rome standards, nicely furnished and decorated, always hot water, very clean, decent fresh breakfast, overall good value, would stay there again. Our room was in a block 20 yards up the street from reception and breakfast and, while this didn't bother us, it's clearly not ideal for everyone and so just 4* rather than 5*.
