Booked with points, hoping bad reviews were for the pre-renovated hotel. Pros: Excellent location, room was clean, plumbing worked great, bathroom featured bidet, towel-warmer, and great tile shower. Cons: Triple room unbelievably cramped, even for European standards; beds were very hard, like camping on the ground; evening front desk clerk was unbelievably rude, refusing to help locate a corkscrew, charging us a full-day's wi-fi at 10pm, knowing it shut off at midnight, etc. Breakfast was what one would expect at 2-star motel. When we left, the morning clerk tried to charge for wi-fi, which you can only get when you pay in advance, and then tried to charge an additional room-tax, saying it wasn't covered in my voucher. He pointed to a voucher from a different company to prove the point. I refused to pay until I spoke with my card's customer service. He threatened to call the police and then sent the bell-hop out to get my husband. I later verified that the tax was indeed paid in my prepaid booking. If not for the extreme rudeness and extortion attempts, it would have rated 3 stars if classed as 3-star hotel.
