“Really good value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

We had a fabulous time hotel was better than we thought and easy access to where ever u want. We got a great price 1 nite free with breakfast, thought it would be basic and we were givenlots even fruit.
We had lunch at Macdonalds cheese burger and coffee milkshake 2 euro. Afternoon tea at the station brioche and coffee 2 euro fabulous and evening all inclusive ranging from euro to 15 euro around the hotel.
Rome we chose a tour bus 4 2 days 18 euro well worth it.
Best site for me was the streets how they live with so much archutexture amazes me.

Room Tip: Only tip I can say is u will not be in the room long so make sure it is warm

“Excellent location, don't expect anything else”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 November 2011

Good location, only 5 minutes from Termini with plenty of restaurants around. We booked superior room, but on arrival were shown into standard, after complaining we've been transferred into room we originally booked. Room was clean, only disappointment was that our double bed consisted of 2 single beds pushed together ( when you book superior room, you must specify if you want double or twin), so we couldn't cuddle up together :(. Breakfast was terrible.

Room Tip: Book a superior room with a little balcony, lovely view and place to relax

“Great history and monuments but otherwise unfriendly city and people!”

The room we stayed in was nice large and clean for the two adults and children. The bathroom was tiny in comparison and the shower space was inadequate for even one person to stand and not hit the faucet (and turn on extremely hot or cold water) while turning about. It was almost as if the bathroom was put there on an afterthought. The even tinier elevator refused to move with just two adults and one infant plus two bags. Please avoid using it. Cleaning in the corridors could be improved and more lights could be provided. The worst part however was that though we inadvertently arrived in Rome on the day of protest (15th Oct.), no one at the hotel or elsewhere bothered to tell us about it and we ended up at Colloseum with an infant in a stroller in the middle of the unending protest March with noisy, rancourous and sometime violent marchers when we could have gone somewhere else! What were they protesting for anyway with liqour in their hands and ciggerettes in mouths - the end of their easy carefree life?!?

But it is just the common European uncaring and non customer friendly attitude that you will see everywhere. Rome is a great city. I only hope that the people could be friendlier. After all their livlihoods depend on the tourists mostly.

“Ok I suppose”

I stayed 4 nights. The location is excellent. A run down area but safe and handy for the rail Termini. Also there is an excellent restaurant about 5 mins away which I went to 3 nights out of four. The staff at the Hotel were pretty much like all Romans are to tourists. They generally seem to resent tourists and whilst not openly rude, are not especially friendly. I won't be back to Rome any time soon so their crashing economy won't get my money. The shower in my room stank of sewers but was generally OK by morning and the smell didn't pervade the room if the door was shut. If I turned the shower head upside down, the pressure was so low the water nearly stopped coming out and the water temperature was warm at best but no problem really. The 5th floor room was run down but clean and OK to crash. I've been in better in Guatemala for less than a dollar a night. Not a place for romance. Wi-fi was free for guests (in lobby only) and the breakfasts were plentiful and fine. But.....That Roman attitude? Why do they do that? Nearly forgot... the room was incredibly noisy despite my request for a quiet room. Loads of air conditioning units (I guess, but not mine, which was pitiful) going off with one particularly noisy one. I was so knackered I slept through it mostly, but it may not be for everyone. I won't be going back there.

“good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 October 2011

The location was very convenient to go to Termini (main station in Rome). It is in the heart of the city and access to all major tourist locations. The staff was friendly. some spoke english well. Wi-Fi works well. The shower stall was extremely small. The mattress felt different from usual.

Room Tip: the shower stall and the bathroom is not suitable for overweight people.
