This was the worst place I stayed on my entire trip! Want good service, air conditioning, clean rooms without mysterious stains on the wall, showers that don't burn or freeze you to death? Well certainly do not come here because that is exactly what you will get. The receptionist with the lazy eyes acts like you are stupid if you ask him anything and don't expect to get a fan for your hot room unless you tell people in line waiting to check in that they should probably leave because the hotel is gross...which I did muhahaha. Seriously, if you don't have to stay there don't. It was terrible.

I rarely write reviews and will keep this short the only good thing about this hotel is its 15 minutes from the coloseum the rest forget it.

Ants, mold, and to many other things to list. Go live on a bench it would be better... Staff is very rude...3 stars should be changed to a 1 star...do yourself a great favor dont stay there you will live to regret it

i booked this for a surprise trip to Rome for my partners 40th birthday and by the pics on the website this looked like a lovely little hotel. From the outside, hotel daniela certainly did look a fab little hotel. once inside the miniscule room though, the picture was completely different, the walls were rotten, wallpaper was torn and there was black mold on the wall right by the bottom of the bed. The bathroom was actually bigger than the room but the shower is awful and looks like the lime scale on ALL the attachments has been breeding for years, you also share it with a little gang of red ants, who like to go on day trips to the bed and bite you on the legs!!!!

When I asked for a room change, i was basically told NO, by an extremely arrogant and snotty receptionist. Up until "antgate", I thought i was stuck in this room, but thankfully there was a young man on reception at night who had manners, excellent customer service and deserves a pay rise and praise for his speedy response and organising a room change. This was after 2 days of the room from hell.

During the day, don't think of a lie in as housekeeping knocks continuously and then get reception to phone the room. If you say no and don't open the door, it generally means you don't want to be pestered.

If you love smart bummed, arrogant receptionists, red ants and black mold, then this is the hotel for you, if not DO NOT book a room with this hotel or any other in its francise.....Leonardi Hotels.

Upside, they had a great little map of Rome in the entrance hall!!!

We were pretty much afraid prior to checking into Hotel Daniela after reading most of the reviews. We stayed in this hotel for 7 days. Our hotel room had excellent air conditioning, a newly remodeled bathroom, and great views. You get what you pay for as far as the beds go. They are hard as a rock. The breakfast itself was average but the service was excellent. We never had problems with having our belongings stolen. The street where the hotel is located is very quiet. However the area itself seems a little sketchy during the evening hours. That would be our only reason not to use this hotel in the future. The hotel is within five minutes walking distance to Manzoni metro station which was great!
