First trip to Rome with wife and friends to see England v Italy Rugby and sightseeing for total 4 nights. This is an ideal hotel for sightseeing. It is just a couple of minutes walk from Termini from which it is fairly easy to use metro, bus or tram to see all the sights. Despite some reviews stating area was a bit seedy I didn't find this at all and in fact we ate in excellent, and reasonably priced local Pizzerias or Trattoria's (different one every night)- all less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel.
The hotel itself is great value. Rooms are very clean and comfortable, and whilst small compared to some are exactly what you'd expect from this type of small city centre hotel. Didn't have lot's of contact with staff but found them friendly. Breakfast was ok - basic coffee, cereals, pastries and ham/cheese- but did have difficulty getting a table in firts morning.
For a 2 to 4 night city centre trip where basic comfort, location and price are all of consideration I could not fault this hotel and would stay here again if visiting Rome.
In terms of Rome my only disappointment was the weather with worst snow for 25 years meaning the outside attractions were closed and watching the rugby was freezing !
