“Great trip despite the weather”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

First trip to Rome with wife and friends to see England v Italy Rugby and sightseeing for total 4 nights. This is an ideal hotel for sightseeing. It is just a couple of minutes walk from Termini from which it is fairly easy to use metro, bus or tram to see all the sights. Despite some reviews stating area was a bit seedy I didn't find this at all and in fact we ate in excellent, and reasonably priced local Pizzerias or Trattoria's (different one every night)- all less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel.
The hotel itself is great value. Rooms are very clean and comfortable, and whilst small compared to some are exactly what you'd expect from this type of small city centre hotel. Didn't have lot's of contact with staff but found them friendly. Breakfast was ok - basic coffee, cereals, pastries and ham/cheese- but did have difficulty getting a table in firts morning.
For a 2 to 4 night city centre trip where basic comfort, location and price are all of consideration I could not fault this hotel and would stay here again if visiting Rome.
In terms of Rome my only disappointment was the weather with worst snow for 25 years meaning the outside attractions were closed and watching the rugby was freezing !

“Great value for your money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

Great location, very close to Terminal Station, where you can take the subway, train or bus.
Very nice breakfast, with bread, pastries, yoghurts, juices and expresso.
The room isn't very big, neither is the bathroom, but it was enough to me. Comfortable bed, clean sheets and towels, AC worked.
Friendly staff.
Overall a great hotel to enjoy all that Rome has to offer!

“Great location great staff!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

The hotel is very well located. It is close to the Stazione Roma Termini that is a train, metro and bus station. And its where A line meets B line.
The front desk people are very nice, and they speak a whole bunch of languages, including portuguese.
The only very bad thing about the hotel is that the wifi doesnt work in the rooms (at least not in mine).
Also the breakfast could be better, but it was good enough.
It is a very clean hotel with a great staff!
And its totally worth it because of its location! Its just like 2 blocks from the Stazione Termini.
I would def recommend it!!

“A decent place to stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

Stayed in this hotel for 4 days in December. This hotel is reasonably priced & very close to Termini. We needed a decent place to stay during our first visit to Rome. Our room rates did not include breakfast but due to its proximity to the Termini, this is no issue at all. The room is generally clean but noticed some hair in the shower when we first checked in. The staff was not exactly very friendly. They just gave us the keys when we checked in so we had to ask them for a map as this is our first visit to Rome. A contrast to all the hotels I went in London, Paris and other parts of Italy who were so welcoming and gave us tips and information without us having to ask. An ok place if you are not too particular.
Just be wary when you walk from the Termini to the hotel as the street is quiet and there may be unsavoury characters. One of the nights, a man followed us down the street. We stopped and pretended to look at one of the closed shops and took a good look at his face. That spooked him and he turned back towards Termini.

“An excellent stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2012

Having closely read the trip advisor reviews, I carefully chose this hotel for a 3 night stay in January and was certainly not disappointed. I booked direct with the hotel via their own website and received a 10% discount, which meant our double room, ensuite, cost just £47 per night for 2 people, including breakfast, an absolute bargain!
On our arrival staff were extremely helpful and we were politely directed to our room on 2nd floor. The room was clean, comfortable and warm, with a perfectly adequate ensuite shower room, albeit on the small side. Our room was serviced every day and our towels were changed daily too.
Breakfast was served from 7am til 10am, perfect for us late risers, with a good selection of cereals, bread rolls and cold meats.
The hotel is also conveniently close to the Terminii, so we were able to quickly make our way there, following our arrival at Fiumicino airport and it was equally convenient for our departure too.
I would unreservedly recommend this hotel to fellow travellers, it's not 5 star luxury, but it is a very good 3 star at an excellent price and following my experience I would book again with confidence.

Room Tip: Ask for a courtyard room, they are quieter.
