“very good”

We stayed here and found the hotel to be good. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The rooms were on the small side, but we did not spend a lot of time in the room. Yes, the towels were different than they are in America - but they were fine. Americans - get over it. Yes, there was graffiti in the area - but this is Italy - home of graffiti. We found the area safe and the location central.

“A bit of a walk but a good little hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 August 2010

Overall this is a great little hotel. The front desk staff was wonderful. I needed to get a taxi to the airport at 4 am and they arranged it for me no problem. The room was extremely clean. I loved the air condition, although I never really figured out how to change the settings. It was perfectly comfortable though. The TV was also too complicated for me, but I’m technically challenged!

My only real complaint, which others have mentioned, was the location. It is definitely a bit out there. The length of the walk itself was not the problem. It is only ten or fifteen minutes from Termini and I did it with little problem carrying two bags. But as a 22-year-old woman traveling alone I felt slightly uncomfortable walking there with my bags. I got hassled a few times, nothing big just a few comments. I’m glad I arrived in Rome in the afternoon and not at night. That being said though, I never felt unsafe in the area and once I dropped my bags off at the hotel I felt the walk was fine. It is a bit out of the way of most of the major attractions though. This wasn’t really an issue for me since I was just staying the night before catching an early morning flight, but I can see how it might be a bit frustrating for someone hoping to explore the major sights of Rome.

All in all I felt this hotel was definitely a good value for the price and I would recommend it.

“Loved it!”

I stayed at this hotel in March 2010 and loved it very much. Check in was painless and the man at the front was very helpful. The free breakfast is very basic but it serves its purpose. the room was really nice and spacious, we got a room on the third floor and it was great. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to Termini, it's not a horrible walk if you don't have a lot of luggage. We stayed there for only 2 days :( which it should have been 3 but that had nothing to do with the hotel. Since we only had 2 days in Rome we did a lot of walking and the walk back to the hotel from Termini seems longer. Overall, I really enjoyed our stay here, God willing if I ever go back I will most likely book this hotel again!

“Filthy”

Very dirty , small rooms. We had insect bites on us the next day from something lurking in the bedding . The hotel is in a dangerous part of town. The streets smell of vomit and urine. Dangerous gangs of youths roam the streets , and hang out at the park up the street. Begers, hookers and trans-sexual types block the sidewalks. The stores in the area are unfriendly, we could not purchase metro tickets from them. Metro machines are broken by vandals. The metro stop is very far away, 5 block walk. The train station is very far away, about a mile. Stay at your own risk. We checked out after one night , and had paid for 5 nights in advance. We did not get a refund. There is nothing exceptional about the continental breakfast, toast ,coffee and juice. The Television was not working and the staff was no help. This hotel is not near any recommended sightseeing areas. The restaurants are far away and dirty. This neighborhood is extremely dangerous.
