Central location, but shabby rooms. 'Breakfast' is coffee, rolls & jam. Fine if you want to be near the station, go sightseeing, and crash out when you return, but the discerning would do better to spend a little more and stay in one of the better hotels just round the corner in Via Carvour. Overall loved the short trip to Rome, saw most of the main sights, and even managed to take a train ride to Florence and Pisa. Got a bit fed up of touts trying to sell me guided tours of attractions that are either free or cheap to enter, the guys who won't take no for an answer if you don't want to buy a rose, or a photo, or an umbrella, or a tacky souvenir of whichever monument you're at, but am getting resigned to dealing with that more and more wherever I go these days. Just such a shame to have to.
