Stayed at Residenza Frattina last weekend, with 3 other guys watching England/Italy rugby match. Great location, near to Spanish Steps and Trevi and walkable to most other attrractions.
Due to the unexpected snow we did a lot of walking as Taxis refused to work!
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel itself was full of character. Lots of stairs. No bar/restaurant, just a breakfast room. but spoilt for choice outside of hotel. Rooms were a decent size and comfortable but bathrooms were tiny. I couldn't sit straight on the toilet !
Noise from the Breakfast room was a slight problem from about 7.00 and walls were paper thin, but this is not unusual in older properties. Breakfast was excellent; Cold meats, cheeses, boiled eggs, pastries and unlimited superb coffee. This was my second visit to Rome and I would certainly stay here again.
