We visited Rome in the summer of 2011 and we are more than satisfied with hotel Dorica. It is perfectly located only 5 minutes walk to Republica metro station. It is next to Via Nationale, a crowded and commercial street so it is safe to walk there any time of the day or night. The hotel staff was really kind, friendly and helpful. They gave us not only the useful map of the important sightseeings but also their precious directions for the buses and the routes that we should follow so that we would not miss anything. The room was clean (daily change of linen!!) nice decorated and comfortable, we had hot water all the time. Breakfast was not served in a buffet but we had in our table all the amount of food that we needed. After all the staff was there to serve us supplement. Coffee was excellent!!!Perfect value for money! Dimitra and Maria from Greece!!

We looked for somewhere cheap, central,comfortable and friendly and Hotel Dorica did not dissapoint.
Everyone at the hotel was very polite and willing to help. Marco had excellent knowledge of where to eat and relax locally. The breakfast was fine and filling and offered variety.
The location is 10 minute walk from the collesum, 20 minutes to the spanish steps and 30 minutes to the Vatican.
We got given a map of what to do and little guidance from the hotel which was great.
The room was cleaned and tidied daily and it was comfortable.

The location of the hotel is perfect.Very close to Termini station and scenic spots.Trevi Fountain,Piazza di Spagna and Roman Colosseum are just 1 Metro station far,which means you can go these places on foot.
The Room very comfortable and very clean.The breakfast and service was very good and close to what i feel in 4* hotel.
Only one problem is the shower area does not provide a screen to avoid the water drop on the floor.

We stayed here for 5 nights. The locaion was handy to the termini and not seedy like we'd expected. All the staff are super friendly. Room was a decent size,warm and bathroom was big. The room which looked over the street and fountain was a bit noisy -theres no way i could have slept with the indow open in summer but it was winter so had the windows shut and it wasn't too big of an issue. The walls are pretty thin so you can hear a bit of what the people next door are doing. Breakfast is only served from 7-9 in the morning and we like to sleep in when on holidays so we only made it to breakfast twice. Brwakfast is ok but all on a plate at the table before you sit down so you get no choice in what you have except for the coffee. It also means that our cheese and yoghurt is at room temperature even when we got there at 8.15. We payed 79 euros a night so its really good value for rome. If you stay here make sure you eat at ristoante al viminale which is right nearby. The hotel recommended it and it was soooo good and cheap. Pasta amazing. We te here several times and couldn't believe how cheap it was. It looks always looks empty from the front but the dining room out he back is where everyone sits - all locals as far as i could tell.
