I have stayed here about 6 times. The hotel is located a block from the main train and bus station, Termini. Because of this it's the easiest location in Rome to find, and get in an out of. Some people might think the area is a little seedy but it's well-patrolled, has been cleaned up considerably, and I have never had any problems.

The hotel is in the process of a major rehab. I was given one of the older rooms but they changed it to a sleek contemporary one for me. The hotel is safe and clean, and once you arrive at Termini on the Leonardo Express train from the airport, you can be in your room in a few minutes.

The room comes with continental breakfast and free internet in the lobby. For a safe, clean, convenient, and affordable place to stay, the Hotel California definetly fits the bill.

Room is okay, small but clean and comfortable. Staffs, however, are terrible especially front staff on Sunday afternoon. He doesn't understand English and very rude.
If you don't want to have a nightmare in rome, don't stay here!

we stayed in this hotel during 1st week of Nov. Good staff. But century old elevator and below one star rated break fast and the ambiance is worth only for one star, though they say it is rated 3*. Location was very good.

This hotel is a stone's throw from Roma Termini - perfect location. Reasonably good restaurants around. Close to the main Roman tourist attractions and shopping areas. Fantastic staff - very helpful who spoke Spanish and English in addition to Italian and even let us leave our bags at the lobby for a couple of hours after check-out! Comfortable, clean room WITH AC...WIFI available. You must stay here at least once!
