Room is okay, small but clean and comfortable. Staffs, however, are terrible especially front staff on Sunday afternoon. He doesn't understand English and very rude.
If you don't want to have a nightmare in rome, don't stay here!

we stayed in this hotel during 1st week of Nov. Good staff. But century old elevator and below one star rated break fast and the ambiance is worth only for one star, though they say it is rated 3*. Location was very good.

This hotel is a stone's throw from Roma Termini - perfect location. Reasonably good restaurants around. Close to the main Roman tourist attractions and shopping areas. Fantastic staff - very helpful who spoke Spanish and English in addition to Italian and even let us leave our bags at the lobby for a couple of hours after check-out! Comfortable, clean room WITH AC...WIFI available. You must stay here at least once!

TO AVOID!!
We maid our reservation via booking.com 2 months in advance. When we arrived they informed us that they cancelled our reservation because of problem with our credit card (without informing us, they had our tel & email). The credit card worked for the reservation in 8 other hotels in Italy during our trip. They offered us someone else reservation (who was also supposed to arrive the same day) but with double price. We refused. The owner and reception staff were really rude und unfriendly. They said we wouldn't find anything in the whole city. But we find a room in nice Divina Hotel across the street 2 minutes later (when they heard our story they offered us the same price as the one we had in our reservation via booking at California). If you wish to have a place to stay in Rome stay away from hotel California.
