“Friendly, clean and excellent location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 November 2010

A couple of minutes from termini so a doddle to get anywhere. The staff were very helpful, the rooms pleasant although there is quite a lot of traffic noise. Breakfasts basic although I wouldn't expect anything more in most European cities. There are lots of English speaking guests so one thing that would have been nice would be the facility to get just one English speaking news channel on the tv.

“very rough, arrogant and and never guest friendly hotel”

The attitude of the staff was very disappointing, rough and arrogant. Even the Director was talking to us as if we were staying there free, and please note we were paying 145 euros per night for such a small room. after evening till morning there is only an old man sits at the reception and he don't know english and treats guests like beggars. For room key also we have to write and give him.
they claim they are 3 star and I see that they are not even worth any.Overall my experience here was very bad, spoiled our trip mood entirely

With more then 10000 guest/year we're proud to earn a lot of "Excellent staff" or something like this. The customer satisfaction is on our premise and our treasure.
Sometime (very few time) some guest cannot be satisfied.
We must select guest in order to avoid troubles to the other.
Your freedom must stop at time it doesn't respect other's one.

“Sack your staff and start again!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 May 2009

Being in the tourist business I like to try out different hotels - not always taking the hotels my agent supply and therefore ensure good service. I like to see what my clients may get so I pay!
Sorry Amadeo, you lost this time. Room is fine, cool and spacious enough. Also quiet at the back where I was. You have an attitude problem! When somebody who speaks perfect italian is addressed after 2 days in poor English it means you don't listen and don't care.
This doesn't matter. But having paid your maximum tarif I react when the receptionist calls you in a threatening voice at 10.55 telling you more or less you will be killed if you're not out by 11.00 am. Sorry - there are different ways of doing this. His defence was that it was written at the entrance to the hotel that check out is at 11.00. Who reads this and who cares when they are in Rome! The rule around this hotel is check out at 12.00. And that stupid elevator!! You must use a slow one to get to your room - no stairs available. I used the emergency exit and was almost killed for not having it done their way.
I am sorry AMADEUS - I have stayed in more hotels in Italy than most have since 1978 and I would never recommend you. Not because of the faciltiy but because of the extreme incompetence of the staff.

“Not Good First Impressions”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 October 2007

person found this review helpful

My wife and I arrived at 2200hrs after a 2 and a half hour flight from Newcastle so were looking forward to a good nights sleep.
Check in went without fault even though the receptionist could not speak a word of english.
We were given the key to what can only be described as a broom closet, to add insult to injury it had twin beds not a double which was asked for.
After 30 mins of sign language and 2 phonecalls to an english speaker, a woman arrived with double bed sheets, pushed the 2 beds together an hey presto there was our double bed for the next 3 nights.
Breakfast was pointless and should be avoided if possible, fresh orange juice is diluted etc.
The hotel has soundproof doors but not soundproof windows so if you are a light sleeper take ear plugs.
For the equivalent of £120.00 per night this was money wasted, other rooms maybe fantastic but room 204 should be avoided like the plague.

“Great service!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 March 2006

Last month i decided to go to rome for a cheap weekend break. I spent ages searching the internet for a nice hotel and found it really difficult. I was pleasently surprised when we found the hotel. Although the area is not exactly uptown it was a brilliant location for those who love sight-seeing and adventure as it is central. The hotel was beautifully clean and tidy. It was really worth the money, more like a four star than a three star. Not or those who get annoyed by slow lifts though! if you don't, then this is the hotel for you! It also has some interesting charcters. My favorite guy was the Roman who can speak english, spanish, french and japanese! that was pretty impressive. Would love to return!!!
