Finding a hotel in a city you have never visited can be tough. But this hotel is a great place to stay. It is about a 10-15 minute walk from the Termini station, and a 5-10 minute walk from the Cavour metro stop. The desk staff was very freindly and spoke perfect english. Booked the hotel directly from their website and recieved free wi-fi for the week. The rooms are clean as is the hotel. And the rooftop terrace is a great way to spend each evening relaxing. The hotel location is on a quiet street, with little traffic. And the window has a "blackout" electric shade, so in the morning, no light came in the room. The room had a/c & cable TV.
In my research of Rome, I kept hearing about the Gypsies and children begging for money, as well as pick-pockets. But in a week in Rome, traveling all around the city, never saw any of this. Felt totally safe the entire time. In fact at the end of the street is an elementary school. Plus a chuch is right across the street.
There are plenty of restaurants in the area, and the Forum and Colosseum is a 15 minute walk.
Plus they offer a breakfast every morning. My only complaint is that the milk is warm, so only had cereal the first day. But they have plenty of other food options.
The desk is staffed 24/7, so you leave your key at the hotel, so you don't have to carry it around. And because there are only 50 rooms, they do remember you during your stay.
Checkout was a breeze, as we pre-paided.
If you are looking for a good value, great location and friendly staff, this is the place for you.
