“Perfect for City Break - Clean with really friendly staff”

We booked an economy double and were nicely surprised by a good-size, spotlessly clean room on the 5th floor with plenty of storage space and an equally spotlessly clean, roomy bathroom. The bedroom's balcony gave added space and a lovely view of the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore. I cannot stress enough how impressed I was with the cleanliness of everything. The clean, airy breakfast room has another great view of the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore and the people passing by, and the food was basic but fresh, nicely presented and the service was super friendly and helpful. This is the perfect hotel for a Rome city break, with Termini only 2 blocks away, and I seriously recommend this hotel as a base for a city break, you won't be disappointed.

“Good value small hotel near the central station”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 December 2011

Stayed here as a base for a winter sightseeing break in Rome where we needed a hotel that was convenient for Rail travel and car rental/car hire as this was a part of a larger European Tour. The hotel is in the process of renovating the lobby and several floors but still keeps very tidy and clean. The hotel had some period furnishings in our room which gave it some character but were a little dated and probably in need of renovation also. The hotel was quiet and provided a good nights sleep - not a small achievement in Rome. The breakfast buffet was included and great. The customer service was superb from the welcome, speed of check-in, arranging for cabs/taxis, to the great explanation of Rome's sites.
All in all, a good experience

Room Tip: The back of the hotel may be quieter than the front, but the rooms are double glazed. Part of floor...

“Should not be classified as 4*”

The hotel was centrally located and clean, the staff (at reception) was helpful ...and that is all the positive comments I can make!...
On the negative side:
No tea/coffee making facilities,in the rooms or in lounge..
No bar,
Very poor breakfast buffet, plastic glasses!!!:
Will not stay there again!!!

Room Tip: First floor and facing the courtyard for quietness (not the view!!)

“great location”

My friends and I stayed here for 3 nights. I liked the location, close to shops, restaurants and just 15-20 minute walk to the Colosseum. The breakfast was good, I enjoyed the pastries, ham, cheese etc... Our room was clean and surprisingly big. (I expected a small room). The front desk/service was satisfactory overall. I would stay here again the next time I go back to Rome. grazie!
