This is a very nice hotel, with pleasant rooms (some on the small side), immaculate baths (again, small by US standards), and a wonderful breakfast. Just don’t try to serve yourself coffee – the staff likes to do that! I have the impression that in the US Best Western is a budget choice. (I’ve never stayed there.) The staff is very helpful, and they can get you a car (not a taxi) to the airport for a very reasonable 50 Euros. This is worth it, trust me-- we arrived via bus and subway; cheap, but very tiring. The subway is a short walk away, but the problem is you have to walk a lot after you arrive on the other end (unless you’re going to the Coliseum). But then, you will walk a lot in Rome no matter what you do. Of course, the Vatican Museum is a very short walk away. We felt this hotel was an excellent choice, and would gladly stay there again.
