Yes, the hotel was a little "homely" (decor a little old) and our first room air conditioning didn't work but we were changed to a room with working air. Although in 30 degree heat the chilled water air conditioning isn't very effective. This hotel is therefore not recommended for travelers used to North American cool in the hot days of an Italian summer.
On the plus side the hotel has an excellent breakfast buffet - as good as you will get in North America - everything from juice, cereal, yoghurt & croissants to hot ham & eggs (the eggs will stay hot if everyone closes the lid on the bain-marie). Free high speed internet is available - single fixed computer in the lounge area.
The rooms and hotel are clean and the staff efficient. Although some could do with a refresher course on customer relations.
The hotel has a good restaurant attached (20 - 30 euros p.p. for fixed menu tourist dinner)
The hotel location is excellent for getting around it is literally 'round the corner' from the central "Termini" station (100 yards or so) which has access to main rail, subway, streetcars and buses as well as a shopping mall (in the station) with a good and very reasonable grocery store.
