The only good about thiw hotel is teh location. In the herat of Rome,just a few minutes walking from the most important monuments.

The hotel does not deserve its 4 stars. Its a 2 star hotel...The furniture and the carpet are from Nero's era. The room had a disgusting smell of dirty due to the old and filthy carpet. When we first got into,we found a pair of socks from the previous guest and when my husband throw by mistake a ciagerete behind the bed,they didnt took it until the time we left the room.... The bathroom was quite good,bad there was mould on the top...and I saw some ants and two other insects in it. The hot water took a long time to come also,and there wasn't a regular douche with cable but there was one douche on the ceiling which made it too dificult for a woman to be washed...

The most exasparating from all about this hotel,is that although we stayed there 5 nights,they didnt changed sheets at all!!! This is unbelievable for a 4 stars hotel.

Another very annoynig thing is that it hasn't pugging at all. As it is in a very central road,the noise from the cars was very annoying...

The breakfast was the only good surprise in this hotel. It was a very rich bufet...

I think it did't deserve the 105 euros we payed per night and there are better hotels in Rome to stay in.

My husband and I stayed 2 nights at hotel Pace Helvezia. We definately gives it 5 stars. We stayed in a lovely and quiert room on the 5.th. floor with a huge balcony and great view. Receptionstaff very polite and helpful. Hotel very clean and located just in the middle of everything. Of course there are traffic outside the hotel - come on your are in the middle of a rather big city - what do you expect.

We went for a few days in Rome and we were so excited to get here and visit such a fantastic city. Our joy fade away when we dealt with this hotel which was not at all a 4 star hotel!!! actually,we were wondering how it received this grade? i would appreciate it more like a 3- star hotel. Firstly the room was dirty, it seem that the chambermaid cleans it very superficially because everything was dusty: the windows, the heaters, the walls, the hairdryer was black instead of white...etc the furniture is old the tv small and very old with little variety of channels and the sofas very dirty even at the reception. I traveled a lot but i must confess i haven't faced this kind of problems anywhere neither in the 3 stars hotels!! i had a permanently sensation of dirtiness and i was disgusted thinking when these things were cleaned the last time?!
We complained at the reception about all these things, they said they will provide more cleaning but the things didn;t change! The staff is not very friendly and not carrying!
Secondly, the elevators are so small that u can't fit in with the luggage.
The hotel doesn't have facillities only the basic, the only good things is that is located in the center of Rome and u can't bring ur pet in.
The location is very good as u are 3 min walking of fontana di trevi or 5 min piazza venezia and all the other things are close.
The breakfast is ok but not fantastic.
Finally, I feel sorry to say that i wouldn't return to the same hotel under any circumstance! I wouldn't recommend it to anybody unless u don't care about all the things i mentioned above!

Hotel

Location – Great – I saw so many times the Fontana di Trevi… (every day) - Colisium – 15 mints walking
Breakfast – simple, not so many choices there.
Elevators - Can they make it even smaller???
Room – Between 2 elevatior’s on the 5th floor – no noise , due to winter time, the room smell like mold. Simple and basic – no more no less.
Reception – normal
Bar – I saw one… was it working

Tips – restaurant – when you leave the hotel turn left , and left again, and on your way down, there is a good value for money restaurant- before the Pub.
