“Comfortable hotel in a great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012 via mobile

Just returned from a 3 night stay. Emailed beforehand to advise it was our honeymoon and we were upgraded to a mini suite complete with private terrace! Bed was comfortable, bathroom clean with jacuzzi. Breakfast was the usual buffet of rolls, jams, cereals, selection of cold meats and cheeses plus hot scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage - again buffet style. All staff we came into contact with we're friendly. Hotel is 10 mins walk from the Trevi fountain. Slightly further to Coloseum. All main sights are easily walkable though - including the Vatican which took us about 45 mins or so. Rome really is amazing but it's a city and the prices reflect that. Expect to pay (in euros), 10 for pizza / pasta dish, 6-8 for a glass of wine or beer (cheaper or about the same to order a bottle of wine as it is to buy two glasses). There are deals to be found however - especially so if you take yourself away from the main tourist traps and explore it little. 3 nights was just enough to see the main sights but anyone with an interest in history, art or just wants to explore at a less frenetic pace would be better at av4 or 5 night stay.

just came back from rome.
rome is beautifull but it seems like all the city is under construction.
the hotel hiberia is a quiet and peacefull place to start and end your day.
the room is quite small and at times too warm,
but the beds are very comfortable and breakfest is great.
staff was helpfull when asked.
the location is just great. walking distance from every major attraction.

“Ok room. Good location. Unfriendly staff. Noisy”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 December 2011

The location of the hotel is great, but that is about it. It is near the top of the hill, so anytime you leave you will be walking back uphill. The breakfast is ok. Room was decent size, but right on the street so we could hear Italians yelling at each other all night. The staff seemed uninterested in helping us find our way to anything. They would merely mark our map with an x, and leave it to us as to which direction to head and how to get there. Any requests we made were met with annoyed faces and snarky attitudes, which seemed to be a theme in Rome amongst any employee anywhere. Their website boasts WIFI and a LAN connection, but they only allow one person in your room to be on at a time, and the reception is awful. We definitely wouldn't stay there again.

Room Tip: Ask not to be faced towards the street. Its crazy loud.

Great Hotel, staff were excellent. Location perfect. Family of four had the best visit to Roma and the accomodation was great.

“it was o.k”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 December 2011

Good value for money. Located in the center of the city; very close to helpful bus stations but the street is very noisy and the hotel is not intimate or having a special design.
