“Average hotel, great location!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

As me and my other half were travelling around Europe for a month last summer, Rome was our final resting place. The Hotel itself was very handy for us, being only a two minute walk away from the train station. We were warmly welcolmed and showed where our room was.

The room we had was very dated and dingy. Dark green, and only one tiny window that was in the side of the wall so hardly any light came in at all. In the early morning you could hear the bins being collected, but this wasn't a big negative for us, just one of those things. Overall, the room suited what we needed...a place to sleep at night! We really weren't using it for much more than that, and from the hotel we walked to every place we wanted to see, except the Vatican city were we got the train too.

Breakfast is included in the price which is good, but when we were there it looked like either a large family group, or a small school group, were staying at the same time, and really the breakfast area was not big enough to accomodate everyone, so we only ate in the area once during our stay. Was alright, bread, pastries, tea coffee etc. However, out of everything, the service was great, with the owners doing all they can to accomodate you, even phoning us a taxi to take us to the airport.

Don't expect a fancy hotel, but great for people on a budget wanting to explore!

“Like Family. Best Location. Great staff”

For the price this hotel is amazing. Talk with Tony at the front desk who is there the major portion of the day. He'll treat you like family. Need a question answered, ask Tony. The hotel is very cozy and very close to the Bus Terminus. It includes a morning breakfast and great service. Book now and enjoy a super exciting trip in Rome. At least I did : )
OH tips in ROME:
If you like walking and you'll be there at least 3 days, then don't buy the bus tour, just walk. Get the map from Tony and literally walk from the hotel to close to the Vatican in 30 min.
We bought the bus tour then the next day we gave it up and walked. If you get tired just catch the city bus for 1e. Just see a popular site you want to go to and ask at the bus termini for the # bus that goes there.
To get back to the hotel just ask what bus goes to the termini, then walk from the termini to the hotel (2min)
OH, as for resto's ck trip advisor. Your'll see great recommendation, just choose Italian food, Dinning, $70 and under and you'll have excellent resto's at 14e a person.
OH. To and from the hotel from airport is 4 euros each way eachperson. Take bus company called .... hmm i don't have the name with me, but the bus stops on the opposite side of the termini from Aquarium's side's hotel. I told Tony about it, just ask him. The info inside the termini don't even know about it or won't tell you cause they want you to use their train at 15 e each.
Enjoy and have a blast : )

“brilliant hotel, brilliant location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 July 2011 via mobile

Stayed here for 3 nights in July and loved it! Let's be honest, in a place like Rome, your not going to be in your hotel for long periods, and as such, it did everything we needed it too, location is perfect, minimum travel to any attraction, service was very good, a very homely kind of feel I thought, the staff were great, helped us a few times with buses etc, always joking and making conversation as well, which isnt something I've experienced in a hotel before. Even let us hang around in the lobby for 2 hours after we checked out whilst we waited for our transfer to the airport, mand considering the lobby is quite small, that really impressed me! Would urge everyone to stay here.

“Perfect Value”

A Great value Hotel, large rooms with balconies and views of the Roma aquarium. Personal service for breakfast. Short distance to Termini and walking distance to Colloseum. Short distance to two of the stops for sightseeing buses. In short, a good hotel in terms of price.
Beware of the old mother who is night watchman she is a bit grumpi if you wake her.

“Be Careful of your BELONGINGS ...................................”

We stayed at the Aquarium for 3 days, honestly we cant find the address easily as the hotel is in 2nd floor, but the WORST case is BE CAREFUL with your belongings when you leave the rooms for day trip. Our luggage was broken into and we lost our new purchased LV bag and wallets which we hide inside our own luggage and clearly to my remembrance the nite before was in my luggage ..... So its true the saying goes ... Be careful in ITALY too many thieves but we never think this happened in AQUARIUM hotel, in my own room 523, our prediction is the HOUSEKEEPER ..
