On arrival at the front desk we were assigned a room 202 (i think) then to have it changed by a gentlemen at the front desk, at which the lady who was servicing us found very funny. we were then given room 110 and that was the reason for the laughter. The beds were under the stairwell (great for sleeping) and the window looked out to the air conditioning units (lovely) The night staff were rude and not very helpfull when asked about internet use(which is not free) go across the road for that.Breakfast was very basic and if your lucky you will find a clean table and this is 4 stars, 3 at best. We had room service done one day,put my head down for a snooze only to be woken up an hour later,by someone else wanting to clean the room again.Location was the positive as it was close to transport not good for girls on their own as neighbour hood looked a little dogey

location of hotel just 5 mins walk from the main termini station...first impressions of the area weren't too good..it actually looks better in daylight! lovely little restaurant across the street (Mario's)..the room was lovely and extremely comfortable, marble floor and lovely wooden furniture, even had a mini bar.breakfast room had door which led to the roof. typical continental breakfast fare, rolls, bread, cheese and eggs and meat with fresh fruit and juice, couldnt find anything to complain about and would certainly use this hotel again

We travelled independently with two children and found this easy because of the central location. The boys loved using the trains to get around and only costing one Euro a real bargain!
Hotel was stylish, clean and spacious. Breakfast was excellent, a good range of foods and plent to go around.
We managed to see all that we came for in three days and were able to walk to some attractions from the Hotel. Good friendly and helpful service.

Recently stayed here for 5 nights in a noisy corner junior suite.
Strange room with a small bedroom with a beautifully painted ceiling and another very small other room with a sofa bed. The closit/amroire was in the corner and very inconvenient.
The headboard had an odd projection which made it difficult to read in bed without 4 pillows.
While the location may be considered good as it is close to the train station, it is a very dirty, low end area.
The bathroom was a decent size but poorly arranged. The bathtub had some mold around the caulking.
The breakfast was ok but the breakfast room was on the top floor with a very slow elevator.

We stayed at this hotel at the end of May for six nights. We came here because we were at the hotel maikol for two nights at 120 euros per night. The palladium charged us100 per night with breakfast. Beware of the room switch as described earlier. When i came to the hotel asked for rates and to look at a room, they showed a much nicer and more spacious room than the one we got. What we got was nice, but the AC did not work for one night, which wasnt the end fo the world, it would have been in July or August. The staff was OK, hotel internel worked about half of the time. It is best to just to to one of the local vendors to use phone and internet at very competative prices.

The hotel is in a great location, do not miss the Santa maria Maggiore church which is on the square about 100 yards left out of the hotel entrance. There is also a great cafeteria/restaurant on the square, one wine I did remember was Moretti Montelpuciano de Abruzzo for 14 euros-amazing.

The hotel is close to everything you'll want to see in Rome, as well as trains if you are on Eurail pass
