1.I t is very light and clean, marble floors, cool and comfortable and quiet.
2. Air conditioning is very good.
3. Lovely bathrooms with all fittings, lots of towels, plents of hot water and a separate bathroom to share.
4. The chapel is very beautiful and contemplative.
5. There is a drinks machine for water, beer and hot drinks.
6. It is very near the Vatican, just a five minute walk away.
7. It is noisy as it is in the middle of Rome but there is good sound insulation at night and the air conditioning is nice and quiet.
8. Breakfast is bread/cheese/jams with coffee and tea.
9. The nuns are lovely and very helpful.
10. There is an ironing room.
11. Mass happens every morning from 7—7.30 in Italian and you can use the chapel for your own devotions.
12. There are 3 meeting rooms and an outside terrace on the roof which looks over Rome and towards the Vatican. It has fabulous views.
13. There is a TV in two of the meeting rooms with some English news channels.
14. The rooms are a very good size—most doubles with twin beds and good storage.
15. There is an English speaking nun called Sr. Carmen who is lovely and very helpful indeed. She managed to organise a 60th celebration for us with cake and champagne in 24 hours.
16. Evening meal is four courses with -
A. pasta or soup
B Main course
C. cheese and salad
D. fruit/cake/biscuits.
with water and wine on the table, often 6 bottles
for 17 people. The food is good plain convent
food
