“This is not hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 November 2009

I stayed there for three days, in november, I had inside room so, fortunately, it was silent.
The zone around is AWFULLY CAOTIC!
But, this place could not be called HOTEL, only because there is reception, because there are the rooms with the bathroom.......It's too poor for being called HOTEL.
Anyway, for whome needs a quite clean place, near to Colosseo, cheap, and for who's travel alone or in couple, without pretending too much, and for who doesn't take coffe in the morning (only instant coffe :-) ), it can be right place to stay for some days.

“Greeat location in Rome”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 October 2008

Well priced convent (50 euro per night) lodgings with great location in Rome, walking distance to colosseum and other roman ruins. The train station is about a five minute walk away and the train (metro) easily takes you to the centre of rome and all other attractions. A number of places to eat nearby.

Price per night included breakfast which was basic but filling - bread rolls with jam, butter, cheese and coffee, orange juice. Did not have dinner there. Rooms are basically furnished, but clean and with ensuite facilities.

Unfortunately I had a room which faced the piazza dei monti and it was noisy quite late - at times up until 2am, with the sound of people in the piazza and opposite restaurant. Luckily I was so tired from day of walking I was able to sleep but if you are a light sleeper it is worth requesting a room facing away from the piazza. Also if someone is smoking outside your window in the piazza the smoke drifts into your room.

  • Liked — location and convenience of public transport nearby
  • Disliked — noise outside the room

Simple, clean, quiet, and convenient. Wonderful also having the Church attached to the lodging. No complaints at all. Will certainly look to stay here again next trip to Rome.

I stayed here with my daughter and sister. The room seemed nice enough but it was very hot. We were on the second floor and opened our windows to get some air circulation. During the night someone climbed in our window and robbed us while we were sleeping.

“Would Stay Here Again”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 May 2007

The perfect place to stay for a budget-conscious female travelling alone! The sisters and staff are friendly and welcoming, the rooms are clean and bright, and the curfew is midnight - much later than most convents. The breakfast is a bit skimpy (rolls and jam, juice, tea, instant coffee), but if you plan to enjoy the real Rome you'll have a coffee at a bar anayway. The location can't be beat - about 4 minutes from the Colosseum! The matress in my room was a bit on the saggy side, but was made up for by the fact that local calls from the room are free, and if you get a pre-paid phone card that means you can call internationally for next to nothing! I would stay here again in an instant!

  • Liked — bright, clean, friendly, safe!
  • Disliked — saggy mattress
