“Quaint, charming and great location!”

Wonderful hotel in an excellent location - a 10 second walk from Campo di Fiore. We were able to walk everywhere from here: Piazza Navona/Pantheon (5 min), Trastevere (15 min), Colosseum (20 min), Vatican (25 min), Galleria Borghese (35 min). Room was well air-conditioned with two double beds pushed together. Bed was reasonably comfortable, mattresses were slightly hard but overall comfortable. Room was quiet at night. Breakfasts were delicious and included croissants, brioche, pastries, cake, toast, cereal, fresh fruit, juice, hard boiled eggs, cold cuts, and made-to-order espresso. Staff was very friendly and helpful - the morning/afternoon workers spoke great English, the evening workers less so. Two computers with wi-fi are available for use in the lobby area for a nominal fee.

“Too much noise. The neighbour building was under contruction.”

The location is great. You can walk to many attraction. Many restaurants and bars in a short walk. The rooms are OK. Great breakfast. But the neighbor building was under construction so my walls seemed to be side by side with the construction. The noise of constructions was TERRIBLE! A good option when this damn construction is over.
The receptionist at night was not very kind, but the other one in the morning was very nice.

“Excellent hotel in a great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 July 2010

This hotel has plenty of old world charm and is in a central area great for exploring Rome. It is near Campo di Fiori but in a quiet location. The rooms are small but air conditioning and showers were good. Free Wi-Fi hot spot and computers with printers available in lobby for a charge. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful.

“Friendly & noisy (but you don't look for a hotel in the middle of Rome for sleep)”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 July 2010

This is the perfect hotel for your center-of-Rome lots-of-sightseeing stay.

The pros -
RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE of Rome. Every want to say "hey! I'm going to walk to the Pantheon before dinner"? Then this is your place.
Breakfast is ample and delicious.
Espresso bar service included (crucial if you, like me, cannot function without coffee).
Helpful staff.

The cons -
Noise. My room was on the stairwell (maybe they all are?) and... WOW. Every noise. Also, construction was going on, which was loud and... I love the espresso, as I said, but the pounding of espresso maker is, I'm pretty sure, what woke me up both mornings (either that or the construction).
Rooms - a little dingy, but who cares? You're not spending any time in them.

“very satisfactory 3-nite experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 June 2010

very nice place. our two rooms on 2nd floor of main building were basic, smallish, but clean, and well maintained. great location. basic average breakfast offerings. wi-fi only works in lobby. hotel staff friendly. one guy a little chilly at first, told me i wouldn't like "real" roman food, but warmed up to me once we chatted a bit, insisted everyone in our family carry hotel's biz card in case someone got lost and needed to get to home base (which was nice of him).
