“nice place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

The hotel is a bit far from the center of Rome, but in very calm and attractive district.
If you like old-fasion hotels with very specific charm, this place is for you. Actually, it's a villa (and it looks like other nice villas) with a small garden (go there for breakfast!). The nearest metro station is in 10-15 minutes walk, so, if you prefer metro, be ready to regular walks. We stayed there for 5 nights and felt no problem with getting in and out of center. Our room was clean, but furniture were rather old (we decided, that it's a kind of charm of this place). But the main advantage of this place were, of course, very friendly staff.

“Very nice hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2012

The hotel has a nice classical look and it is located in a quite area. Comfortable rooms and good breakfast. The stuff was nice and it is has a beautiful terrace where it is a real pleasure to have your coffee in the morning.

The only downside is that the hotel is not located in the city center. But you can get downtown by bus (right next to the hotel) or by metro (about 10 minutes walk).

“Another stay at Hotel Villa del Parco”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 November 2011

Just wanted to update my previous review of this hotel. We stayed there 4 nights in October, 2011. We feel at home there. Enjoyed the restaurant close to the hotel - the Pepe Verde. Everyone is helpful at the hotel and the transportation is easy to anywhere in Rome.

Room Tip: Choose a room to the back of the hotel as if the windows are open you can get noise from the traffic...

“Great refuge from the bustle”

We have stayed here before and like that it is not in the heart of touristville. Everyone there is so welcoming and helpful. You feel like you have returned to see a good friend. While this is off the beaten track, the Metro at Piazza Bologna is close and we prefer that to the bus although a main bus will take you into the city.

“Great rate, good facilities”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 August 2011

Great newly renovated bathroom and a double bed - bonus for a solo traveler on a budget - not always that way!
Lovely outdoor area, though I didn't use it. Great neighbourhood.
Only downsides - I sleep with windows open and it was a little noisy on the street - not a big deal, looks like they had a/c, and I could have closed it.
Also - had a few problems with public transit. There are multiple lines that run past the hotel, but I only knew of 2 (36/84). When first coming in (on a Sunday) I was told at the termini that those lines didn't run on Sundays, and spent money a few times on cabs before the hotel corrected me - only the 36 didn't run. Also, ran into a few times where buses didn't show or I would end up having problems with connections - so just check when you are leaving the hotel what else runs nearby - the 90 is close, and I believe the 4? There are the streetcars as well...Just hard to be fully informed at times! Also - subway closes at 11:30, buses at 12, and there are a few night buses in a few places, but be prepared that you might need to spend a bit on cabs as well as hotel rates. (About 8-10Euros from the Termini). But facilities were nice, staff was nice. Have to pay a couple Euros for WiFi, but that's just fine!
