“Smelly room”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

Selected this hotel because of its location near Pantheon. That was a good decision but it was located on a busy street so it was noisy. The room was big and good for a family with 2 kids. However our room was smelly and it also had a leak in the bathroom and a very smelly fridge. Breakfast was also very basic. Given that it is Rome however where hotel standards appear very low it may be difficult to find anything better for the money. Even so I would definitely not stay again at this hotel.

Room Tip: Probably best not to stay in this hotel!

“True Italian hospitality and a great escape from the cold Nordics”

I have stayed at this hotel many times, on my own when in Rome on business, with my kids from the time they were small until now when they are teenagers, as well as with friends for weekend getaways. The location is probably the best in Rome with everything within walking distance. The lobby is beautiful, the rooms are nice with comfortable beds and nice bathrooms. But what makes this hotel unique are the people who work there. Mostly the same people that were there 10 years ago - and that tells you something! The place feels more like an extended home than a big hotel. Once I needed some things to be sent to Sweden that didn't fit in my bag - they sent them for free and the stuff arrived the day after I came back. Don't know any other hotel that would do that. I can't wait to be back there!

“fantastic location, excellent service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 November 2011

we found the Tiziano to be attractive and very comfortable. It's most important assets are its central location, and its extraordinary service. You can walk anywhere in Rome including the Trevi fountain, Piazza di Navona, the Pantheon, etc. You can walk to any of the attractions including the Vatican. The staff provide great service. Everyone goes the extra mile. For example, they were willing to open the breakfast room an hour early for us when we were taking early excursions. They also were willing to look at our postcards to make sure we had addressed them correctly for mailing. We ordered a special luncheon at the hotel which was excellent. they do not usually serve luncheon but you can order meals if you like. The dining room where the special meals are served is very attractive. On the whole an extraordinarily positive experiece.

“Good Hotel, Great Location”

Stayed at the Tiziano, family-owned for a couple of generations, with a Road Scholar group in September, 2011. Very nice clean hotel, with an efficient front desk and a decent breakfast buffet. Five minutes walk from Campo de Fiori, and about ten from the Pantheon, PIazza Navona, and the Doria Pamphili Gallery. 15-20 to PIazza Venizia and the Capitoline Museum. Il Gesu and Sant'Andrea della Valle practically next door, and other churches very near. A bus stop right outside the door, and a tram around the corner to take you to Trastevere (but you can walk across the river in 15 minutes). First day there I walked to Castel Sant'Angelo and back, a round trip of about two miles (so 35-40 minutes for a 67-year-old in reasonably good health). You get the point: the location is fabulous.
