“Not bad for a hotel in Rome city centre”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 October 2011

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights.

It is located very conveniently - close to the train station, so you don't have to walk too much with your luggage. At the same time you are in the city centre and all the sightseeing attractions are in walkable distance.

The entrance to the hotel is a bit dodgy and confusing. There are few hotels in the building - like one floor - one hotel, but the room itself was clean.
We didn't have any special view - the window was inside the courtyard which made the room quite, so it was ok.

the strange thing is that the sink is not in the bathroom, but in the room - a bit unusual. In the bathroom there is a toilet and the shower which is quite small.

the breakfast is included in the price of the hotel, but it is not served in the hotel itself - you get the ticket in the hotel and get your breakfast in a cafe across the street - the croissant and juice/tea/coffee. The pastry was very good, but the drink was nothing special (you'd better pay separately for a good espresso in some local place nearby).

“Worst HOTEL ever”

This Hotel was Horriable! As soon as we showed up the two Asian lady workers were really really rude. That was until they broke a bottle of my cologne. Then they were at my finger tips. They bought me a new bottle and were rude again. Every Morning we woke up and the bathroom leaked a nasty pi$$ smelling water. I would NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE. I live here in Italy and it was my second time in rome. There are way more other hotels at a cheaper price with better service. HOTEL ROBINO can EAT A ... you know what...this site wont let me say it.

“TERRIBLE in fact the WORST hotel that I HAVE ever stayed in my entire life!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 March 2011

Hotel lights were dim (in fact dimmest that I have ever encountered). I was being transfered from Hotel Soggiorno Blu as they said there was something wrong with the toilets as it were leaking. (However, Hotel Soggiorno Blu wasn't good either).

There was a loud knocking on our hotel room in the middle of the night, but there were no peep holes, didn't dare open the doors as it wasn't safe at night.

Found BED BUGS on the bed. Not ONE but A FEW!!! Toilet sucked big time, wasn't at all clean, sink was located near de bed. Wasn't clean either.

Breakfast was served in a cafe opposite the road. However, one was allowed to have only one serving.

There wasn't any staff at the reception AT ALL TIMES.

Location is good though.

Terrible hotel that one should take note the most when visiting Rome.

“Health Hazard”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 October 2010

In faireness the location for us was perfect, short walk from the Central Station - BUT - the "hotel" was a flea-pit literally - we found bugs on the sheets, and both my daughter and I caught bed-bugs and had to fumigate our home on return!

Cupboards were all sagging and warping doors would not close, mildew in the bathroom and beds were lumpy.

It should have NO Stars and i am very angry at the misrepresentation of its star rating, the Italian Authorites need to control these facilities much better

“the worst hotel on the planet”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 July 2010

In brief -
On arrival room was unready, we were told to return 4 hours later! This was not good with a young family.
Wish we hadn't returned as we had a room with broken air con and 4 beds crawling in bed bugs.
We were moved for our second night to a double room where they'd crammed 4 beds in, one being an inflatable bed and the other a camp bed! We were unable to use cupboards as the doors were jammed shut with the beds. We had to stack our luggage and could only get about by walking on the beds. We have travelled in Africa, Asia, S. America all in budget hotels and this is by far the worst!
