Stayed at the Rex after reading the other reviews here and did not disappoint. 5 min walk from Termini station and the Piazza Repubblica means it's very convenient for accessing the metro and bus network, and is also fine for the main sights , which are walkable if you don't have mobility issues. Staff very extremely friendly & helpful, and the breakfast options were fine. ~The room itself was comfortable and clean, with a big TV and the option of renting (for free) DVDs from the reception. Around the hotel were dotted old Apple Macs, and other various quirky paraphernalia, and there was a nice library/rest area with free internet and printer, which came in handy for printing off flight tickets. Free fast wifi throughout the hotel. Can't comment on the restaurant, which we didn't use. Zero complaints, great staff, and would recommend this to anyone coming to Rome whose not on a shoestring budget.
