I was in Rome on business for 6 days and stayed at the 4 star Hotel Quirinale. The location, for me was excellent. It was near the center of Rome, 1 block from a main metro station and 2 blocks from the train station. Easy to walk to all of the monuments in Rome, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, Spanish Steps even the Vatican. The good part was it was on Via Nazionale which is loaded with everyday shopping (not the stuff you can't afford like on the via Condotti).

The hotel is old but elegant and the staff is great, all english speaking and very helpful. The heating and plumbing were a bit of a challange but that is part of the ambiance. The room I had was good size and the bath was impecable, clean, all white tile. TV was a flat screen with many channels and good reception. The wireless was strong and free. After a long day at work this was a great place to return to. I will stay there again.

My husband, our daughter and I return to Rome every year to spend Christmas there.
We have returned to the Hotel Quirinale every year for the last ten years. Wonderful hotel! Truly elegant and old world tradition. Excellent service. Very clean. Centrally located.

The personnel are very helpful and accommodating. The location is great, centrally located, but not clogged with traffic. I loved having breakfast in the garden and drinks in the grand lobby. The place feels like an 19th century palace, complete with paintings in the public spaces.

Well, the location is good, the price could be better, but the tones of died, dried flies between windows are unacceptable! How can you enjoy staing in a relatively good hotel knowing that nobody bothers to wipe out dust etc.
