“Ideal location”

The four of us (My wife, Sister, Brother-in-law and myself) spent one night here after our 14 day cruise.
It was one of very few hotels that offered a quad room. We had our shuttle driver drop us at the hotel by 10 am they day our cruise ship docked. Check-in was fast and their English was very good. We had to take turns riding the elevator with all our luggage (basically a 2 person elevator). The room was large with a Queensize bed plus 2 fold out sleeper chairs - very comfortable. The front desk showed us the best way to see Rome in a day & a half. Hop-on Hop-off bus - caught it just on the other side of the Piazza. We spent the day touring the city then finally back to the hotel for dinner. We ate in the separate glassed in dining room in front of the hotel (on the very wide sidewalk) excellent food and very reasonably priced.
We all slept like logs that night after all the walking we did. Rome proper is not that big- easily walkable if you are somewhat fit.
I will go back to Hotel Imperiale the next trip to Rome.

Room Tip: Get the quad room if you want to save some money and if you are comfortable with 4 people sleeping i...

“Fantastic location - small rooms”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 December 2011

The Imperiale sits on Via Veneto amongst all the big hitters (Savoy etc) so the location is fantastic and the value is pretty good considering how expensive this end of the city is. Reasonably good walking distance to most places, the park is very close and is a must if you want to break away from the busy streets. The Spansih steps are not too far away. The hotel is clean and the staff are very helpful. Our dbl room was very small but comfortable. The restaurant was ok, breakfast was fair but the whole place could do with a little updating. Lots of marble and old furniture which is nice but in the rooms it was a little basic. We spent 5 nights here as we visiting Roma for my 40th - such a great city. When I return I will probably choose one of the more modern boutique hotels that we kept finding in the back streets but overall the Imperiale is a pleasant place to stay. A peaceful nights sleep too. No free wifi though

Room Tip: ask for a decent sized room!

“September 2010-Bad experience with hotel staff and management”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 December 2011

All clients of this hotel should be informed the hotel is located within the Zone Traffic Limited (ZTL) area of Rome. So if you are driving a rented car it is a potential to receive a fine for a traffic violation since you don't have the proper Police authorization to do so. Upon your arrival, the Hotel has the obligation to call the Municipal Police of Rome and provide to them your car license plate. Of course, the hotel staff didn't inform the police the LP # neither us about this regulation and I received a fined for Euros 99.88 a month ago. They cannot argue they din't know I was driving the car because they arranged with the parking lot they are working with to pick up our car. I'm still dealing with the Rome's police to see if they drop the charge because it was not our fault. To fight the fine I need the Hotel receipt that I hasn't anymore with me. I asked to the Hotel to provide a copy about 3 weeks ago and they ignored me and didn't answer any of the other 2 more e-mails I sent them, These people don't know the meaning of "Customer Services".
The travel was last year but I selected September 2011 just to allow me to submit the appraisal
