“lovely hotel worth a visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

My husband and i have just returned from this lovely hotel booked for me for my birthday
staff are professional but friendly and helpful, continental breakfast on the rooftop terrace is wonderful, we also had a meal on saturday evening which was brilliant ,on arrival we were taken to a room which can only be described as a cell! but my husband spoke to the reception staff and we were moved to the 3rd floor, room not great for this star hotel, but clean and comfortable, beware the gladiators at the colosseum who call you over to take a picture then charge you 20 euros for the privelige!!
all in all a good hotel with a lovely bar and barman, who kept us supplied with coffee and cake at a reasonable price

Room Tip: ask for a room on the 3rd floor

Thank you for your wonderful remarks which we have shared with our staff.

Our Hotel being ancient palace of Imperial Roma do not have large rooms as a modern hotel, but most of our rooms are quite spacious and very confortable.

We look forward to welcoming you back.

“Sweet hotel”

Great location for a short stay to explore all of the sights of Rome. Hotel is not too large, staff are friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed it and pricing was about right. Will return one day I am sure.

“Christmas time in Rome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2012

lovely cosy comfortable little hotel in a wonderful location. Comfortable beds, small but perfectly formed bedroom and bathroom. More expensive than we would usually go for but we felt it was worth the extra expense for a treat. The staff were warm and welcoming.

“idealy located”

It was our first trip to Rome so we chose the great located Forum Hotel.
The hotels rooms are dated but clean with no english TV channels.
The breakfast terrace is overlooking the Forum which is spectacular. Its a continental breakfast which was sufficient.
The roof terrace bar also overlooks the Forum. Its expensive however.I dont think I'll ever get used to paying £6 for a coke or a small beer and £10 for a glass of prosseco.
The hotel restaurant is very expensive and we never saw a diner in there during our stay.
We found to great value restaurants with awesome food.If you turn left immediately after leaving the hotel you will find a great authentic Italian literally next to the hotel.A couple of hundred yards further on there is a good chinese restaurant were they sell a full bottle of Rose Mateus for £6.The food is also delicious and extremely good value.
Other tips for Rome are:
Dont let the taxi drivers quote you on a fair always use the metre as its cheaper.
The guided tour for the Vatican and Colisseum are good value and you beat the queus.
The restaurants near the main attractions are very expensive so move back a street or two for better value and quality.
Dont get your pictures taken with the centurions at the Colisseum as they charge 20 euros and if you dont pay they get nasty, we saw a few people fall for this.

“Hotel Forum - Business Trip”

I have just returned from a group booking at this hotel to attend a 2 day sales meeting. This traditional style hotel is fantastically located in the centre of Rome in easy walking distance of all the attractions. The staff were helpful, friendly and welcoming and the rooms spacious, clean and inviting. The rooftop restaurant offers an amazing view - breakfast is breathtaking! The meeting room was large and comfortable with integrated data projector and all equipment requested. The only negative comment received was the price of drinks in the bar - but you are in the centre of the Eternal City and hotel bar prices are expensive generally in this area. Would highly recommend and will definitely visit again!

Room Tip: Rooms facing the Roman Forum are noisy due to the road. Quieter rooms at the back, but you lose the...
