This was the last hotel we stayed in for one night on our tour before our flight out of Rome the next morning. When we arrived the bus could not get to the front of the hotel due to on street parking and we had to haul our luggage a block and a half to the hotel. The elevators were so small that you could only fit a couple of folks or a couple of pieces of luggage at the time. We had to send up the luggage and then run up several flights of stairs to get it when the door opened. I guess we were lucky to only be on the third floor. We were ina triple and the room was small and overlooked the street. There were bars on the windows but the neighborhood area seemed to be safe. We had a terrible time getting the air conditioning unit to work and the toliet hung up on the first flush and would not stop running and the water closet was up next to the ceiling so you could not get into fix it. The shower had only a half glass so the bathroom was a mess after the first shower which we had to take right away after hauling up our suitcases and having no air conditioning. The staff at the desk was friendly and checking in was no problem but they seemed to have only one person working who could not leave the desk so the water ran in our room for hours. Finally around 11pm another person came in and was able to reduce the toliet flow but it never totally stopped. By the time we hauled down our luggage in the morning I was in no mode to wait for the three person elevator to take us to the top for breakfast so maybe I missed the best part of the hotel but I was ready to leave. Internet was available in the lobby but not in the rooms. There were a couple of restuarants in the area and a nice bakery that I found on the morning we left but be prepared to find transportation if you are staying for any length of time. I suggested tot he tour group that they find another location that can accomodate groups.
