whoever allocates the stars for this hotel would need to go back and have a good look around. This hotel was advertised as a 4 star I would not even rate this hotel as a good 2 star. Very run dowm, walls dirty, stains on the carpet, and very noisy at night. Would not recommend this hotel at all. The only thing about this hotel is that the location was good, within walking distance to most attractions.

Travelled to this hotel with friends. It is very central to the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. Hotel is quiet and the only objection I would have is that there is no room service and the bar doesn't open until 5.00 pm. But the friendliness and the kindness of the nicest barman ever made up for this. Silviano (I think that's his name) was a true gentleman and couldn't do enough for you. Hotel is quite dated but bedroom and bathroom were fine. View from the breakfast room is amazing.

I absolutely loved the hotel. I had read some scary reviews about it, but they were so helpful. One of my friends actually ended up wanting to stay at our hotel last minute, she actually told them about it when we arrived and they were very helpful and gave us a great room with an extra bed. The decor is very olden times, you honestly feel like you are in Rome for the great experience.
The breakfast is amazing! The breakfast room is beautiful and clean with people who ask you what you would like to drink etc. The food encludes all types of breads, cheeses and hams, italian bocconcini which i loved and many other things.
The people at the desk are very helpful. Two of the men were of amazing hospitality which i didnt expect because some reviews warned me against it. They suggested places to go and used some of their contacts to get us into great local restaurants at the last minute. They even left us a note with many other bookings available and offered us so many options.
The showers are great, we had long warm showers after touring and we had the normal room service available. Very nice and quiet and in perfect location. A walking distance from the Spanish steps which lead you to great shopping areas and theres an area where buses stop right outside the door.
Great service, great food and amazing hospitality, perfect location and a comfy bed. Thats all i ask for on a trip! :D

Having read some of the damning reviews of this hotel we were apprehensive about what we would find but since we required 6 single rooms in a central hotel our choice was limited. In fact the hotel was more than acceptable allowing for the general expense of accommodation in Rome. It is a little faded but has a degree of character and is happily not an anonymous 'could be anywhere' hotel. The rooms were well furnished and quiet, the breakfast ample as long as you're not looking for 'full English' and the service efficient and pleasant. The only small complaint might be the rather sporadic opening hours of the bar but since it's right beside the Via Veneto that's not a big issue.
Generally we had a very enjoyable stay.
