Having just spent my honeymoon in Rome at Parco dei Principi, I feel compelled to share my disappointing experience to those considering staying at this hotel.
The food and drink prices are extortionate, e.g. minibar 50cl water - €9, 33cl can of coke - €20!!! At the lobby bar, we were shocked when charged €20 for a tiny chocolate mousse (not on the menu). Hotel Restaurant food was good but again very overpriced and portions are small - we were snowed in so we had no choice but to eat here. Breakfast buffet had a selection of pastries, fresh fruit and cereals, but food was not refreshed every morning and at €17 was definitely not good value for money.
Prince Spa was the only good thing about this hotel, but the culture of trying to squeeze money out of you continues - water machines were not working in gym or pool area so we had to pay for water, if you want to use the pool you are required to purchase a swimming cap for €6.
Overall, service from concierge was ok but we felt as if we were a burden whenever asking for anything. The night before check out I requested to pay my bill before going to bed since we were leaving very early the next morning. The concierge staff said it would be a nuisance as he had "already begun closing the till for the day" and asked if I could wake up 20 mins earlier. I said this would be an inconvenience for me (remember this is my honeymoon!!!) at which point he became angry, said that I "was being difficult" and then hung up on me! This really upset me and I was not given an apology by him in the morning upon leaving the hotel.
This is the first review I have ever written but I felt I must share this with others as I would have thought twice had I read this first. Good luck!
