“Great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

The hotel is in a great location where you can walk to most major attractions - located just steps away from Trevi fountain and about a 5 minute walk to the Pantheon. The Tritone hotel is close to the Barberini metro stop and Bernini's Tritone fountain, but it is about a 3-4 block walk (5+ minutes). We used the Metro to get to further away attractions like St. Peter's Basilica and the Vatican.
From what I understand, there are two types of rooms - renovated and not. We stayed in what I assume is a renovated room. It was modern and clean, perfect for our needs as a young couple traveling to Rome for a few days. The room was a little loud as other guests came back to their room at night.

“Excelent hotel and best location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012 via mobile

Me and my friend came to Rome for a b&b weekend.we found the hotel on booking.com with 164euro/2nights/room+breakfast.The hotel is located on via del tritone and right in the back on the hotel there is Trevi Fountain. The hotel is less than 1 minute from Trevi,5minutes away from Barberini metro station and 7minutes away from spanish steps,5minutes from via del corso, all by foot.
The hotel looks small but its on 5floors.we aquired a standard room but when we arrived they gave us a superior room as they ran out of the standard ones.Room was very clean, enough spacious and we even had a ballcony.as the weather was at night chilly,we kept our ballcony room closed but i think in summer, the noise of via del tritone can be a little disturbing.but with the door if the ballcony closed, was perfect.the only drawback that i found at the superior room is the bed, made out of two beds put together.it's not comfortable for you-know-what.
The breakfast is open till 10:30 and is on the last floor of the hotel with a nice view.food is ok.
The elevator is small but that should not be a problem. wi-fi costs snd has very low signal.
Other than that, the hotel was perfect for our 3days trip.
We arrived at 19:00at Fiumicino airport and took the train in the airport and went to termini station with it.it cost us 28euro for two people but it took40minutes to get there snd then we took the metro for 3stations.overall,it costed 35-37euro i think.i strongly adive people to take the taxi to get to the hotel and on your way back-to the airport.it costs 40euro and is faster.if you're more than 2 people its even better.
In the first night,we went to Chanti restaurant very very close to fontana di trvi and it was very nice.good food snd wine and u can alsi stay outside coz they have heaters.prices were medium but it was worth it.i took the beef in wine and little onions with baked patatos and it was delicious.red chanti 2008wine,dry,was also very good and costed 25euro.
The next day,we took breakfast at 10:15and left the hotel at11.we went to barberini station and took the metro to vatican and saw san pietro.after this,ee went to collosseum, foro roman and palatin, traian's column, piazza venetia, via del corso, pantehon.we sat down at pantheon at a restaurant and it wss really beautiful.the next day we visited piazza navona and san angelo castle and left the hotel with taxi at 2in yhe afternoon.
In conclusion, this hotel was perfect and the location also

“Good hotel central location.”

Very friendly reception of the hotel staff. The rooms are nice and clean. The only drawback I found was that the lift didn't work if somebody forgot to close the door to the lift and there is a long way from fifth floor to the hotel entrance. Sorry another drawback is the noise from the street, but maybe I am just sensitive/sleep lightly.
The breakfast is fine according to Italian standards :-) The beacon is not according to Danish standards as it is only slightly roasted and thus not crispy.

Room Tip: Try to get a room at the top floor or facing away from Via Tritone.

“Good hotel at a GREAT location”

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Tritone. It is situated in the heart of Rome, with everything being walking distance from there. The service was very good and helpful and the rooms modern, clean and well equipped. One of the best features was breakfast at the restaurant on the top floor. We enjoyed the really old/historic little elevator.

Room Tip: It is in Heart of Rome - Higher up rooms is quieter
