We stayed here for 4 nights, and were quite impressed. The staff were certainly friendly and check in was trouble free, including the compulsory form to register foreigners with the local Police. The hotel may provide a wifi service, but there may be a cost.
The room was small but acceptable, and the beds were nice and firm. Clean bedding and immaculate bright decor - including the bathroom - made for a great room. Sadly, there was no tea/coffee making facility which would have made a perfect room. Rooms and corridors were carpeted which reduced noise from other guests.
Continental breakfast was varied and included cereal (budget branding I fear), bread, yoghurts, fruit (prunes etc), pastries, nutella spread, meats and cheeses. The coffee machine made warm coffees, but they were tasty!
Rooms 106, 107 and 108 back out onto the small courtyard so be aware if you don't like the smokers!
Location - 5-10 mins walk from Termini. Don't panic by jumping in the first taxi. It really is easy to walk to. And to gain access, you have to walk up a driveway which you think is for the carpark....it is, but the entrance is on the left.
Being near the metro means you can move quickly to the sites. Use the S.I.T bus shuttle service on the Via Marsala to get back to the airport - 8 euros each.
Research affordable restaurants before you go. Pricing is extortionate in Rome for what you get. There are McDonalds abound if you're desperate and can get a Big Mac meal for 6.50. There's a Hard Rock Cafe at the Via Vittorio Veneto, near the Spagna metro station if you fancy a hearty burger and fries for 15 euros!! Americano coffees are only 2 euros though!
The La Cucina Nazionale restaurant on Via Nazionale also provides affordable offers.
A supermarket was nearby too though it was expensive compared with UK stores. But you can still pick up a large bottle of fizzy drink/soda for 1 euro.
In conclusion, a well specified hotel in a great location, but make sure you know where to eat and drink cheaply!
