We were given a room with a balcony which was really nice and the room was bigger than expected. We couldn't believe how quiet it was but as the hotel is set back from the road (which isn't a busy one anyway), it was really peaceful. The bed was big and comfortable and we both (light sleepers) slept really well. It was a 5 minute walk from the Metro which is really cheap and quick to use, so easy to get to all the sites. We were able to walk from Termini station to the hotel in about 15 minutes with a case. Don't take a taxi if you can help it - we were quoted 28 Euros!
We were recommended a restaurant at Number 46 in the same street which was really good and you get a 20% discount if you let them know that you are staying at the Galileo.
The staff were all very friendly, apart from the manager who could maybe take some lesons from his staff! In particular, the gentleman on reception (the one with glasses - sorry, forgot to ask his name!) was lovely, interesting and very helpful.
Breakfast was average but plenty of it. Only locals seem to be given the "real" cappuccinos, the rest of us had to make do with a coffee machine, which was a bit disappointing.
Overall, we were happy with the hotel and would recommend it to others.
