Stayed here for three night Rome break - 30th November 2011 to 3rd December 2011.
Location of hotel is good. Close enough to the station but not too close as some areas closer by did seem a "little rough".
The street (Via Merulana) leads straight up to the Santa Maria Maggiore.
There are side streets coming of it with restaurants and cafes, also a nice little Irish pub that we drank in.
Each member of staff that we saw in the Hotel were friendly and helpful, had no problems on checking in and out. All spoke good English.
I was expecting the room to be exceptionally small based on other reviews but it was of a standard size. Minibar in the room (which I thought was cheap to how much you get charged in UK) and TV although no English channels.
Bathroom was very small as was the shower but spotlessly clean.
Breakfast was nice, nothing fancy but got everything we needed. Because it was winter the Roof terrace was not open to sit out and have breakfast but it was unlocked so could go out to have a look around and see the Colosseum in the distance.
All in all a nice small hotel, clean and friendly. If went to Rome again on a budget would definitely stay there again.
