“Location Value”

Stayed in the Cesari for 4 days at the end of January 2012.This hotel is situated in a short pedestrian street just off the Via del Corso. Despite this it is wonderfully quiet at night.
You can walk to the Pantheon in 5 minutes, the Piazza Navona in 10 minutes, and the Colosseum in 20. This is a superb location.
The twin bedroom was in need of updating, but the beds were comfortable and everywhere was very clean.
The breakfast is on the roof terrace - and it is a delightful start to the day.
The staff were courteous and helpful. The room+breakfast was 120 euros per night - and that is a very good price for accommodation so centrally located.
We recommend it wholeheartedly.

“One out of the box...”

We stayed at Albergo Cesari in January 2012 and had 2 rooms. The rooms were spotlessly clean if a bit dated - but if you consider it has been a hotel since 1787 this should be expected! The location was excellent and within walking distance of almost everything you go to Rome to see. The rooftop bar and breakfast facilities (and the breakfasts!) were a delight. The staff were the highlight however. All of them, breakfast staff, cleaning staff, and reception were terrific. Jan, Tomasso and Camillo especially deserve a mention for their care and attention, humour, and professionalism. Nothing was a problem for them - even arranging a quick trip to hospital for me in the middle of the night and phoning regularly to see how I was getting on - thank you Tomasso. We would highly recommend this great little hotel and would definitely return.

“Memorable Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 January 2012

My wife and I stayed at the Albergo Cesari in May 2011 and absolutely enjoyed our stay including the wonderful location, cleanliness, staff and, of course, breakfast every morning on the rooftop which also served as a great place to enjoy views of Rome and an evening drink or two either before or after dinner.

Our goal on this second visit to Rome was to be close to the Pantheon which is literally about a 30-40 second walk from the Hotel as well as the surrounding area including Piazza Navona.

We cannot wait to visit again!

Room Tip: Our corner room, 409, was perfect and I would recommend it.

“Great location”

This is a basic hotel with dated decor, that is clean and has an absolutely fabulous location. The staff is outstanding and incredibly helpful. Jan, Tomasso and Camillio deserve to be mentioned due to their outstanding service. There is a patio with heaters on the roof that our group utilized every night, even though it was December. The street that the hotel is located on is lovely and has many restaurants and some shopping. This hotel is within walking distance to all major attractions. Located on a cobblestone street in between the Pantheon and Trevi fountain. I would recommend this hotel.

“Fantastic place to stay in the heart of Rome”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

We spent three nights in the hotel and were amazed how quiet it was, although on a bustling alleyway. Windows were double glazed.
We enjoyed breakfast on the rooftop terrace. It was great being able to set off for our sight seeing straight into the squares and lanes surrounding the Pantheon or turn down the Via del Corso and head to the Forum...
Very helpful staff.

Room Tip: Ask to be high up, away from the street.
