The manager was wonderful and helped us with a problem we had the first night. The rooms are standard size for Rome and the hotel is perfectly located. We highly recommend their roof top restaurant which was our best meal and best view in Rome! Seriously!

Improvements: All over Rome people were complaining that the hotels shut off the cooling system because it was the end of October but it was warm and the upper floors were hot of every hotel. This needs to be adjusted.

The convenient location is a big plus. The hotel is right behind the Piazza Navonna, and this came in very handy during a taxi strike, as many attractions (the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Ara Pacis, San Luigi dei Francesi) are within easy walking distance. Santa Maria della Pace, with its wonderful Raphael frescoes, is next door. There are a number of good restaurants (especially on Via delle Coppelle) within a block or two.

I took note of the complaints about the "Classic" rooms and booked a Deluxe Room and a Deluxe Suite, which were spacious and very well appointed, with big bathrooms and lots of closet space. The front desk personnel were very courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. Service was prompt and cheerful.

The rooftop terrace presents wonderful views of the Centro Storico, although the restaurant and bar there were closed (this being January). When the weather is warmer, I'm sure this is a wonderful place for drinks or dinner. The breakfast spread was quite extensive, suited to both European and American tastes. The blood orange juice (which looks like tomato juice), was great. Ate a good dinner at the restaurant, which (perhaps because of the taxi strike) was deserted except for us that evening.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Raphael. We stayed our last night at the end of a 3 week trip around Italy and it was the perfect place to speak that last night.

The staff was excellent and the room (a Richard Meier) was so comfortable and chic. I fell in love with Bvlgari au the blanc bath products and have purchased the whole line to enjoy at home. The fragrance reminds me of an unforgettable trip, and evening.

It's worth it just for the roof deck. We had hoped to have dinner there but due to early rain showers it was closed. Although closed we discovered that it was not locked and after dinner in the neighborhood, we enjoyed after dinner drinks on the roof with a 360 degree view of the city--breathtaking!

The location is wonderful--just steps to Piazza Navona, the Pantheon and so much more. The hotel arranged our car to the airport the following morning and all went smoothly.

We didn't have time for breakfast (the story of our lives) but hope that the next time we stay at Hotel Raphael we will be able to enjoy dinner on their terrace. Even if we won't have it all to ourselves!

We weekend 5 / 1 end of the holiday. Hotel decorated and beautiful, the staff courteous and doing everything you should make the stay and give a feeling of vacation. We have upgraded to a suite of Richard Meier, of course, was extraordinary. Breakfast is excellent and includes a hot meal, also fruit in abundance, even cakes and other goodies. the place of the excellent hotel close to almost all the important sites around the many restaurants. In sum real 5-star hotel, highly recommended
