“BUDGET ROME”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

Stayed for one night prior to staying in central Rome, using the free shuttle bus from the airport 8 trips a day, info was scanty from airport info, but was right outside of terminal at the end of the coach lines. Then we took the bus from the hotel into the city, 4 times a day and were dropped off by the pyramide tube station, ask the driver first. It is a cheap way into Rome, 10 euros for 4 people, book at reception. The room was big enough with good facilities. The pool was great for a hot day and had a table tennis table and loungers, most useful after a hot 3 hours driving. The food was limited to an expensive buffet, with the hotel being remote, took items off the bar menu. The breakfast buffet was good with a large choice of items. Recommended for a night stay on the way in or out of central Rome.

Stayed here for business in Rome.

Specifically chose it for quick getaway to airport.

There arevshuttles to town and to airport and taxis if needed are there within 5 mins.

Good room, nice space, proper shower, would definitely stay again!

“We gave up a few years ago”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 January 2012

We stayed here for about 4 years in a row and would always leave from Fiumicino- We gave up after about 4 tries as the
A?C does not work
2-Food is terrible-Even pizza was frozen
The only nice part of this hotel is sitting outsie near the pool to relax and read before flying home
Hotel needs a complete remodeling and I agree with most that the rooms are noisy- This is not a place to stlay once you find other choices.
We now stay in the city and pay the taxi to take us to the airport and at least those two nights are pleasant-

Room Tip: Face the front and maybe you will get some air

“Starting to Fall Apart”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 January 2012
1
person found this review helpful

I am a frequent traveler and have been going to this hotel for a number of years. I would warn you that it is starting to fall apart and cleaning staff is having a hard time keeping up. Say away from rooms that face the pool since they are very hot all day and night (even in the winter). The front staff is also starting to loose its 'charisma' if you make a request make sure that you double check with them because they tend to forget and not pass along the message between day and night front desk managers.
Don't expect a well balanced breakfast you will find a limited assortment of oily bacon scrambled eggs and a few pastries.

This is a good hotel for working in the outskirts of Rome or if you are traveling to Rome on a budget.
Transportation
The city bus is not well connected. I never took their shuttle buss but always seems to be a mess.
Taxi If you want to save 2-3 Euro don't call for a taxi at the front desk walk outside the front gate turn left and get the taxi (1 min walk). If you call the cab drives 100 feet but seem to turn on the meter a few minutes before to run up the bill then comes in to pick you up.

Upside
The rooms are big by Italian standards. Therefore a family of 4 can fit into a room without major problems. During the summer the pool is nice for kids but why would you go to Rome to sit at the pool in the outskirts of the city? Also the gym is decent (again by Italian standards) decent cardio equipment poor with weights.
Ciao

“Soul-less conference hotel”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 November 2011
2
people found this review helpful

This hotel is in a business district and, in my opinion is unsuitable for tourists. It caters for large groups and conferences - so be warned, it could be very busy. In my case, the location was convenient.

My room was spacious but totally devoid of any charm whatsoever. The bed was comfortable, but that's about as far as the positives go. The decor of the room was bland and the furniture basic but functional. The carpet was badly worn, very faded and in dire need of replacement. The bathroom was clean but very old fashioned and the shower was distinctly low-pressure. Overall, the room was thoroughly depressing.

There was a mini-bar, but no tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

The doors, walls and windows offer little to no soundproofing. I especially enjoyed my neighbour singing a lullaby at about 11pm one evening, though it didn't help me drift off to sleep. Less enjoyable was the constant flow of conference-related bus traffic entering/leaving the car park - which seemed to require one or more blasts of their horn, even at night. Also worthy of note is that you can hear every sound from the neighbouring bathroom.

Another reviewer commented that the hotel feels like a converted hospital - I didn't believe it until I stayed there. It really does!

Would I stay here again? Not a chance.
