You walk out and you see the roman ruins, what more to say? The Colosseum is only a 5 min walk away. Hotel facilities are basic but sufficient. Bar downstairs is reasonably priced and coffee is good (don't think it's possible to find bad coffee in Italy though :) Def would come back for the price and location!

My boyfriend and I recently spent a week in Rome. After looking at what seemed to be every hotel in the city, we stumbled upon Nerva - what a find! We got a great price (granted we were there in off-off-season), a decent sized room (with a comically small though not impossible shower), and super friendly, helpful staff. The location was wonderful; we were 2 minutes away from The Forum and Colosseum, we shared a street with many ancient forums, and we found walking even as far as the Vatican to be easily done and quite enjoyable (caveat - bring comfy shoes). I always felt safe and never worried about leaving my stuff in the room. All in all I couldn't be more pleased with Nerva!

Location Location Location, its the best, Well appointed ( and small) rooms central to a host of activities and good advice. Only drawback was - as we had a wheel chair in our party, having to go up the side street and more steps to access our room. Whilst the steps were achievable ushing the wheelchair up hills all days and then the last thing is tiring.

I made a reservation in Hotel Nerva for my friends from the internet and they could not stop thanking me for choosing this place. "Great location and excellent service", they said. Therefore, I wanted to share their opinions. I definitely will consider visiting Rome and staying in Hotel Nerva in near future myself...
