“Wonderful place in Rome!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 December 2011

We stayed in Minerva Apartment for a week, this is our first time in Rome, I think we strike Gold and found these wonderful place to stay. The place itself is very large, there is only 2 of us but the place can easily fit 6-7 people, location is awesome, safe at night (not a fancy neighborhood, mostly with new immigrants) and just couple blocks from Termini and 3 blocks from underground, and the hosts are so wonderful, they spend an hour explaning the house feature and giving us tips and ideas about restaurant, museum and things to know to get around Rome, and the seafood place he recommend is the awesome with great place, he even drive us to the termini on the checkout. Oh another thing, a great great jacuzzi, after walking 7 hours on stone road, you will need a long hot bath for your leg, since both me and my husband love to cook, this apartment has a full kitchen with all the tool, and it is very close to a local market, we spend a night buying local seafood and cooking at home...wonderful!! Another plus, the place is across the street from the biggest gelato place in Rome, open till 11pm, so guess what we do everynight before going to bed, yup, we went to gelato!!!! Awesome place, awesome apartment.

“** Wonderful apartment and wonderful owners **”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 December 2011

After a week's stay in beautiful Tuscany but in not so beautiful accommodations, we came to the Minerva Apartment in Rome for two nights. Wow! What a place! And what wonderful, helpful owners! And what a fantastic location, just a few blocks from the Coliseum, and across the street from the most amazing gelato ever.

Mary Therese and Wolfango were there to meet us and carry our bags up. Then we received an information session which included anything we might need to know about the apartment from operating the air conditioning to their very secure locking system. Their information also included restaurants, shopping, busses, trains, sights, ...

Before we left for our trip, we were extremely impressed with Minerva which we booked after reading the great tripadvisor reviews. Once we contacted Mary Therese, she went above and beyond, from accepting the delivery of a wheelchair my travelling buddy was having sent to Rome to await her arrival (and setting it up), to offering their phone number and driving services if we had any problem getting to the airport on our last day in Rome because of the 24 hour transportation strike.

In addition, once we booked, we received an email from Mary Therese with an attached document including everything we might want to know or need to know about Rome. It was extremely helpful.

The attention to detail that this couple show with both their guests and with their accommodations is phenomenal.

Now on to the apartment: what a beautiful beautiful place. Extremely spacious, lovely furnishings and design, every convenience you would need. Extremely hi-spec. Balconies in both rooms, lots of storage, jacuzzi in the bathroom, handy dishwasher, wealth of travel information and pamphlets for our use, extremely comfortable beds. There was not an unfinished detail. And we felt very secure with their amazing door lock.

We were so sad to go and would stay in any accommodations that this couple own.

“Nice Apartment. Great Location. Nice Owners.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 October 2011

This apartment was exactly what we were looking for in Rome. It has a great location in a typical italian neighborhood very close to metro stations and the coliseum. It was clean and spacious with many thoughtful touches added by the owners. The owners, Mary Therese and Wolfango, were very helpful and provided a wealth of information not only about the apartment but about where to dine and shop and how to get around the city efficiently. They provided us with a 24 hour phone number (which luckily we never had to use) and even inivited us to call them if we had an emergency during the rest of our trip in Italy. The Minerva Apartment is perfect for anyone looking for convenience and great value in Rome.

“Home away from home.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 August 2011

Our travel group consisted of 4. Me, my boyfriend, my mother and my 19 year old son. This apartment is good for friends, family and couples. It was roomy and comfortable and CLEAN. It gave us the luxuries of home and the convenience of not having to always go out for breakfast. The location is unbeatable. Walking distance to everything and literally a stones throw away from the Pantheon. The cafes and stores on street level was good people watching and it didn't get crazy loud. Everything that was surrounding: street music, church bells, people chattering down below only added to the ambiance of where you are. We had a great 4 nights here and would absolutely stay here again. (the showers did go hot and cold on you, not a diversion factor though)

“Good location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 June 2011

person found this review helpful

We stayed in this apartment for 4 nights. The location was very good right near the Pantheon and lots of restaurants nearby. The apartment was roomy and comfortable but very, very noisy at night if you decide to leave the window open. It was very hard to regulate the hot water in the bathroom so it was either boiling hot or freezing cold. The apartment could do with a bit of maintenance and also a good clean as the curtains were full of dust and the sofas stained. There was air conditioning in the two bedrooms but not the living room.
