“What a nice surprise when you entered the place!”

We were 3 girls sharing a big room at the Caput Mundi Suites. Annamaria and all people who work there are very nice and helpful. The situation is great, close to one of the biggest shopping street of the city and close to the monuments. It was exactly what we were looking for, even more! I would recomment this place to all who want to have a wonderful experience in Roma!

“Exactly what we were looking for”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 February 2011

We were very pleased with our accomodations at the Caupt Mundi suites - simple, elegant, and affordable. Annamarie was overly accomodating when we arrived to make sure we were comfortable and answered all of our questions regarding how to best get around Rome and accomplish all we wanted/needed to. We were traveling with a larger group for a wedding with different arrival times, etc. - very hectic. Annamarie was even able to make last minute adjustments to accomodate our friends! We are so grateful to her and WILL be back at the Caput Mundi suites.

“Clean and spacious but some missing details”

The rooms are vey spacious and clean. However, I would not 'sell' it as a design B+B and I would have been quite angry to have paid the 'high-season' price (we were here in Feb so paid the price I feel should be offered all year round). The breakfast could have been more varied and fresher food offered. However, the quality of hotels in Rome is not that good, so for Rome, this is possibly one of the nicest places to stay.
The B+B is in an area that is not central, but you really are 10 mins by foot to most of the main sites.

“Caput Mundi Suite is the icing on the cake”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 February 2011

We have just returned from an amazing visit to Rome. Caput Mundi Suite was the icing on the cake... tastefully furnished with a touch of elegance ... The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Annamaria our host was very warm and welcoming, not only answering our questions and providing a wealth of local information, but also taking time to find out what we were interested in to make recommendations to help us make the most of our relatively short stay for such a magnificent city. Unlike some other B&B's in large Italian cities Annamaria lives just across the hallway providing privacy but also popping in regularly to check everything was going well and to make new suggestions if asked. It is the second time my husband and I have visited there and we won't go anywhere else. The centre is close, the metro and buses run regularly (without time tables at the bus stops though!). As for taxis just be careful not to be overcharged – ask for the price before travelling. As a B&B the breakfast was plentiful.. the coffee Italian first class.. with friendly service. An added advantage is the reception room where we breakfasted which also provides a comfy place to sit and relax for a quiet read in the evenings or review of the next day's agenda rather than needing to retreat to our bedroom. Would we recommend this place ? Certainly, no doubt !

“Well located and clean, however intermittent service and poor lighting let it down”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 November 2010

Our room at CMS was very clean, quite spacious and well-located (10 min walk to metro, 15 min walk to Vatican). Lighting in the room was very poor. The owner, Annamaria, took us through a map of Rome and recommended both sights and restaurants on our arrival. However, then she disappeared and was only present intermittently throughout our stay. There is no reception to speak of, and signage is VERY poor (a tiny label next to the buzzer on the door is it - if you're next to a pharmacy on the corner looking at huge wooden doors, you've arrived). Breakfast was great, and the coffee was fantastic. There's also a cracker of a pizza joint on the next corner (San Marco's) - one of the best in Rome.
